    • Excellent pressure side pool cleaner
This pressure side pool cleaner works well (with 4 wheels) and it replaced an older model Polaris cleaner. For the price, the value is good, and it's been in use for over a month now and no issues. It was getting stuck in the pool ladder frequently but there is a flow adjuster on the back you can give it a different trajectory (down/sideways/up) which is very handy. Only the bottom of the pool usually needs to be cleaned with leaves and small twigs, so doesn't need to go up and down the sides of the pool most of the time. Generally only use it when there is a heavy rain or storm to get the leaves on the bottom and does that thoroughly with its random sweeps. The other brands are more expensive, but for the price, this one does the job well. The hose did not need to be shortened - just left it as is out of the box and so far there have been no issues at all with it getting tangled. Wasn't ready to invest in a robotic cleaner just yet, so this one fit the requirements. ... show more

    • Everything came in the box; make sure it’s at outside temp before installing
So far it is working well without issue. Smooth operation and does a good job of sweeping. Easy install (replaced another brand). Only thing I missed was allowing the hose to warm up in the sun for awhile before starting it up, but that didn’t seem to impact operation.

    • One year review. Not built to last. Throw-away product.
This lasted just over a year before the drive system quit working. Additionally over that year I had to replace the attachment to the pool wall twice (made of very thin plastic) and the bag 4 times which would tear at the seam. I also had to add stainless hose clamps to the point where the hose connects to the cleaner because it would not stay attached. The cleaner never did a good job of removing debris like small amounts of leaves. It mostly stirred things up so they could be skimmed off the top or pulled through drain. At this point I do not feel it is worth the time, cost, or frustration to replace additional parts. I bought this as a replacement for a pressure cleaner from a recognized brand that cleaned much better, much more reliably, and lasted 6 years with little fuss. You definitely get what you pay for with pool cleaners. Lesson learned. ... show more

    • Cheaper and works just as good!
I had gotten this to replace our old Polaris and it has been amazing! It has kept the pool clean and clear all season. The mesh bags out comes with trends to get worn out and the velcro closure is not optimal as it gets debris stuck in it after awhile. I would recommend buying zipper ones instead. I read several people complain about this one getting stuck or twisted up. That just happens but it's not an everyday thing. It's usually after a few days journeys back and forth. Just keep the bag empty and untwist the house occasionally and you have a perfect but MUCH cheaper replacement to the Polaris! ... show more

    • 100% interchangeable with OEM hose and hookups, does the job
This is replacing a Polaris 280 that never really worked all that well. I just plugged this in to the existing Polaris hose - this is a direct knock off - and it worked way better that the Polaris it replaces ever did. Climbed well, got out of the corner that the Polaris always got hung up on and, after a couple hours, had the pool bottom clean. We don't have leaf problems in the pool, just dust and dirt from the air with a few bits of debris. Time will tell if it holds up, but considering the OEM is probably made in the same Chinese factory that this one is, and it's priced a little more than a tune-up kit, I'll take it. ... show more

    • Better than I ever expected.
This is an updated review. Received on time but the box was retaped and appeared to be a possibly returned and resold product. All parts and packaging were inside box and all instructions and since my pool was green I decided to try it and not return it since the actual items appeared to be never used. Glad I did. It works great. Highly recommend unrolling and laying out the hose a day or even a few hours in sunlight / direct heat just to get the hose soft and laying flat first. This will allow the sweep to NOT Go in circles. The Pros Goes hard and sweeps well. It will climb my walls but my pool is all curved walls and steps meaning that it will get stuck at times climbing walls at the steps and love seat. The build quality is solid. The four wheel design is much better for our pool than the previous name brand pressure sweep with 3 wheels. Price comparison to the popular name brand is hands down a plus. I could literally buy 3 of these sweeps for about the same as the name brand base model. And more if comparing the name brand four wheel design. All of the other parts included are direct match to the name brand - the hose, floats, tail, leaf bag, pressure inlet (in wall) screw on adaptor, etc If you’re already using rhe name brand sweep with the wall quick connect you probably won’t need to change out the wall adaptor. So keep it for when if the old one wears out. They give two leaf bags with the unit. They give two size sweep valves (blue and red) The red creates more pressure and pushes the sweep faster through the pool. Cons So far not many but the only issue I’ve had is the connection at the end of hose to the body neck of the unit. The ring screw down doesn’t seem to be tightening as it should. They supplied a second screw down clamp but I haven’t tried it yet. The only time this was an issue is when the sweep hose reverse got stuck on then deep end ladder as the sweep was hanging and not touching the pool surface.     • Don’t waste your time, money
Worked great for a couple of days then the sweeping tail mechanism completely broke off. I read the reviews and should have known better. I had hoped I could get at least a couple of summers out of this pool cleaner as these little things are quite pricey. So, I submitted a return request to Amazon explaining what happened and the return was approved. The item was returned using the Amazon QR return code that was emailed to me. Two months later I receive an email from Amazon stating I never returned the pump and they have charged my credit card for payment, again. For those of you who haven’t yet had to navigate Amazon’s “customer service” process all I can say is pack a lunch and lots of patience. I was eventually able to speak to a rep who was able to sort out their mistake and promised to return the $ to my card in 5-7 day. Strange how they can pull the payment immediately but when it comes to refunds it will take them a week or two. ... show more
