  • This company delivered a great product and documentation. Customer service was even better!
I asked how my new charger would work on a time-of-day rate, where power is supplied to the unit from the hours of 11PM to 7AM. First, the prompt response to my questions were in writing with a follow-up phone call. I have not had any other company respond so promptly or completely to my questions, and even more impressively, you did it on a weekend. I have a 2024 Hyundai Ionic 5 and I plugged it in a around 5PM when the charger had no power. After a while, the Ionic said the charge failed. I left the car plugged into the charger and when the power came on, shortly after 11PM that night, the charging process worked perfectly, charging at the rate I had programmed the charger to work at and up to the charge limit I set in the Ionic 5. In summary, your answers were spot on and when you asked to let you know how the field test worked with the Mach 1 charger, Hyundai Ionic 5 and an time-of-day power supply, everything worked perfectly. It is so nice to have an energy station at home and I can only hope that more utilities offer this type of rate structure. My energy costs per mile are less than a 10th the price of gasoline. I haven’t seen the cost to drive a car that low since I was in grade school in the 60’s. ... show more

  • Impressive vendor response
This unit functions great, is easy to use and charges fast. What is super impressive is the vendor support. My unit came with a defective delay button which made changing to “plug and play” mode very difficult. I emailed support and received a call within 10 min. After walking through several troubleshooting steps they determined the unit was bad and sent a replacement. During my conversation I asked if there was a way to turn plug and play on or off in the app. They said no but liked the suggestion. When i installed the replacement (which was received in only 2 or 3 days) and i added the new unit to the app, i noticed there is now a slider in the app to turn plug and play on and off remotely. Wow, what a response! And the replacement works great. ... show more

  • fast charging got a new meaning.
it is a very good charger. what i love most is the fast and reliable charging experience it gives. The use of nfc cards and the app to use it, helps to protect from unauthorized used.

  • works as advertised. This is a very good product. Price is very reasonable. Support was amazing.
Product was easy to install and setup. It took about 20 minutes to hard wire it into my existing garage sub-panel. I installed a 60 amp breaker to support 48 amp charging. The first time I charged my Tesla, i used the RFID cards that came with the Mach 1 to initiate charging. I could not figure out how to charge without the RFID card. I went to the support page and sent a message to Apex Mach 1 support. They responded inside of 10 minutes (how cool is that... never happens to me). I overlooked the easy steps to instigate plug-and-play. The support person was very kind about my stupidity and got me working as desired in only a few minutes. I would give them 6 stars on support. I would highly recommend this product. The cable in the attached picture needs to be warmed up so it can be rolled up correctly. it is about 40 degrees in my garage. ... show more

  • Wiring instructions not local electric code but is easy fix.
A GFCI 50 Amp 220 breaker is required and a 6g NEUTRAL must be terminated in power panel but the instructions do not state this requirement. The term PE is used for Australian code. (Protective Earth) I had to call support to verify that PE stood for earth ground and not peripheral equipment. Don't guess what anything means when it comes to power. They do not require a 6g neutral wire but us code requires one. Do not forget to install the 6g neutral because you do not know if someone will plug in a welder, air compressor or rv that require a 6g neutral. Other than that this is a great charger for my Tesla. ... show more
