But not having to bleech alone ,I was willing to give it a try ! Sign me up! From the first time I tried it ,until now , 6 years later , I still love it and it still colors my hair a beautiful red ! I use this about ever 3-4 months , and once a month I use a red conditioner and or red toner, to keep it a pretty color of red. And it works. It does not fade fast at all if doen correctly .I use a 20 volume developer on my relaxed hair when coloring besides all my new growth I use a 30 volume developer. I use to use 30 volume all over ,but this is when it fadded out faster. I have tried about 4 different brands of developer, all work the same , inorder not to turn all my pillow cases and cloths red I have learned just to rince it out for 30 min , sometimes longer ,until it is clear water. It does seem impossible, but it is not. But this really does work ! I absolutely love it! Thank you loreal for making a product for dark hair that actually works wonderfully !b

I’ve been dying my hair red since I started seeing grays. It’s been an uphill battle. Lol. First time paid a LOT of $$ at a salon, did not like. did it myself w pretty much every box dye w like 50% good results. With the last time dying EVERYTHING pink including myself w splat dye! Then I tried this w the 20 volume developer. Omg! Love it!!! Definitely salon quality! And my hair feels great to boot! I already ordered my next one!!!

Wouldn’t want to use any other hair color product. It helps me achieve the exact color I am going for. Without completely damaging my hair like other box color dies. If I do end up getting it on my skin, it’s easy to wash off doesn’t stain like other dies, but also last six weeks without washing out. Love this product Would 100% Recommend to anybody who’s trying to achieve the black salon, color hair dye

The product is good for color if you’re looking for a medium-dark red. The downside the product doesn’t seem to last long unless you use a color protection shampoo/conditioner. I do like how the price seems way affordable since you’re getting 3 hair dye boxes vs paying 10 dollars for 1 box at Sally’s.

Used with a vol 10 developer on naturally dark brown hair and achieved this jet black color. I’m in love with it, even the ends took and are not brown. It’s all perfectly one color and took equally to every strand. Super happy with the results. However! It does leave your hair extremely dry. After using some coco bond moisturizer from Pacifica my hair was refreshed again. Will definitely repurchase. Just wish the tubes were slightly bigger. An oz more of product and I wouldn’t have to buy a second one for shoulder length hair.

3 stars because I was hoping for some blue in my hair. I started with a medium brown hair, I purchased the black sapphire. With this supposedly being for dark hair, I was excited and couldn't wait to use it. To mix you use a little over 4 tablespoons of 30 Volume creme developer for one box, I posted a photo of the brand I used. The directions for mixing arent very clear so I figured I'd post how to mix it to make it easy for others. I have short hair and only needed 1 box of color. You will need to buy a mixing bottle or bowl to mix it in, I chose bottle because it makes it easier to mix and apply. You wanna make sure you mix it well and FULLY saturate all of your hair thoroughly, coat it very well and let it sit 30 mins and after that rinse your hair until water runs clear then shampoo and condition with a color safe shampoo (no parabens or sulfates) because those wash the color out of your hair pretty quickly so make sure it's color safe. After that style as usual. I posted a photo of my hair after, the bottle I used after using, the color is a pretty dark blue but my hair didn't have any blue in it after coloring and was just black with a tiny bit of blue stain on my scalp. This brand does color very well as long as you get the right amount of color for your hair length and thickness and make sure you use the right amount of developer. I wanted to be as thorough as possible with my review because when I read reviews I always wish ppl were more descriptive.
