I have been using this charger for about a week now and am very happy with it! It feels sturdy, has a nice long cable, and is charging my i3 at the rate advertised. Installing it was as easy as plugging it into my old dryer outlet (make sure you check your outlet for the right connection type, I ordered the wrong one originally thinking all NEMA plugs are the same) and I was up and running! I ended up replacing the old dryer vent with a PVC pipe and running this through the wall, then hung it on a hose hook drilled to the side of my house. For my needs this is perfect, and the only thing that is TBD is if it will stand the test of time, but I feel good about the quality and thus am optimistic about the longevity! Finally, worth mentioning, this automatically limits the draw to 23-24A when charging so that it doesn't overload the 30A outlet which is an important and welcome safety feature. I checked the temperature of the outlet and cords during the first few charges and everything seemed to be running at a safe temperature (not overheating). All in all, I am very satisfied and would recommend this charger!

Works perfectly at just the right power draw, so I don't have to worry about flipping my dryer breaker. Charges my Pacifica Hybrid in under 2 hours from <1%. Nice thick cables seem very sturdy. Plugs in super easily and has a good length of cord.

Purchased this only about a month ago. Selected this model specifically for the 14-30 plug which matched the new charging circuit I have recently installed. I wanted a 30 amp level 2 circuit since I already had spare wire I could use. This charger has an adjustable amperage range and matches the 14-30 plug I needed. I installed a new circuit using a 10-3 romex wire I had leftover from another project. Purchased a Bryant 14-30p receptacle and a GFCI 30 amp breaker. My set-up works well. I can safely charge at up to 24 amps (80% of the 30 amp rating of my circuit). That is plenty of charging capacity and probably much better for the car battery since it is slower than the more common 50 amp circuits. The charger works as it should. It has a heavy duty cable, and came with a case and all mounting hardware. Catch this on sale and it is very good option if you have a 30 amp circuit with a 14-30p plug.

We ran into an issue when trying to install an EV charging outlet in our garage. Our home is old enough that our whole electrical panel would need replacing to do it. It would have cost close to $2500. Our laundry room is right is right through the doorway into our home from the garage. I looked at adapters to be able to use my car’s factory charger with our dryer outlet, but after a deep dive recognized that they aren’t always a safe option and can cause risks of fire, among other things. This charger is fantastic! It reaches perfectly when I back the car into the garage. The car recognizes it perfectly, no heat on the charger itself while using, and rolls up neatly on the wall mount that was included. This saved us thousands of dollars. It does charge more slowly using the output from the dryer outlet than with the typical ev outlet, but since I charge to 80% typically, and always overnight, this has not been an issue.

I am very pleased with this ev charger. I don't have a 50amp outlet to charge my Hyundai Ionic 5 from, I only have a NEMA 14-30P outlet. It was so simple to use, plugged it into the wall, set it to 24amps and then plugged into my car. It can easily chare my 70+ kwh battery overnight. It feels well built and sturdy. I could not be happier.
