Works GREAT... BUT it rusts.😕

This is FANTASTIC for quickly mincing all sorts of herbs (parsley, basil, dill and even green onions, etc.). Unfortunately, as you can tell by the enclosed pic, it rusts! I've had this for over a year, and I use it at least 3 times a week. Most of the time it cleans well enough (it comes with a protective sheath and a little "comb" that helps you clean residue from between the blades). However, if your herbs are wet or even slightly moist they will adhere to the blades and these scissors WILL need a rinsing. But, much as I ALWAYS dry them thoroughly after rinsing them (and even after applying a thin coat of cooking oil to stave off the rust)... they have gotten somewhat rusty anyway. But, if you're okay with this, I DO recommend them. By the way, they are still as sharp as the first day!

During tomato season, I often make a no-cook tomato pasta sauce which includes lots of julienned basil leaves. The classic "easiest" manual way to julienne basil is to stack the leaves, roll them up like a cigar, and slice them thinly across. This gets tedious fast when using a lot of leaves. With the herb scissors, I simply cut up the leaves and they are julienned for me automatically. I found I can't do more than about two layers of leaves at one time or too much leafy matter gets stuck and doesn't cut well, but the cutting goes so fast that doesn't really matter. I do have to wipe the blades clean frequently, but that takes just a few seconds. There is also a cleaner included which cleans out the blades perfectly, but if you just do a single or double layer of leaves that it really not needed most of the time. Bottom line: I am very pleased with this purchase.

Gets it done

Clearing the blades of food takes a bit of time but if you are making a lot of chopped lettuce and just washing out what is left between them its great. I use a kitchen knife these days but it is a fun alternative.

Once Grown, the Best Way to Harvest Your Herbs for Your Favorite Dishes

Having grown a summer herb garden for many years, I found no easy or precise way to cut, chop or mince herbs for cooking except with a knife which was inadequate regardless of how I sharpened it. The 5-blade Herb Scissors made short order of that! With the scissors you are also supplied with a quick cleaning apparatus as well as assurance that the scissors can be machine washed. The scissors are SHARP!, well-made and simple to use. I would recommend them to anyone who is a summer herb enthusiast.

Great kitchen tool!

These scissors are great. I was fixing a dish that needed some sliced green onions and I always chop some of the green tops with them but this time I thought I'd just try the scissors on them. Perfect! In a couple of minutes I had all I needed. Same thing with Italian Parsley. After I stripped the leaves off instead of slicing with a knife I sort of balled some up and put it between the blades and Voila! I had nice little strips of parsley for my dish. They are so sharp that they just slice through without bruising. Also, the blade cover clears all the little pieces left between the blades besides protecting the scissors. How efficient. A simple rinse off and you're done. I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and sometimes a lot of cutting and chopping makes my hands and especially my fingers cramp so much that I can't finish food preparation. This may be the best tool I've ever bought because I like to cook and this with a couple of other tools sure makes prep fast and easy. I highly recommend this product. Also, I'd like to mention that as soon as the scissors arrived the company contacted me about their product, letting me know that if I had any trouble receiving it or if there would ever be any problems with it to contact them immediately. This is a small company that takes pride in their products, so much so, that they want their customers happy. I've never had any company large or small follow up instantly like this. I'm very impressed.
