We have been charging a Bolt EV and Tesla Model S at home 2-3 times a month for nearly two years. It has performed flawlessly. Really like that the charger displays the total kWh used to complete a charge. Just don't forget to view the display before unplugging -- it zeros out, as it should.

The media could not be loaded. The charger works great. I own a model 3 and charge at the 32 amp rate. Because the charger will draw currents higher than 32 amps. I adjust the charge settings in my Tesla to around 28 or 29 amps which then pulls the 32A from the charge unit itself.

I have left the original text below so you can see my earlier concerns. However, this company has FULLY addressed those concerns by providing a refund of the purchase price almost 10 MONTHS after the warranty expired. I have updated my one star to a four star rating. It is not a five star because I did have a significant problem with the device and it did take a little while to address the concern. The company did stand by its product long after the warranty period ended - kudos to them. After 6 months charger started to fail to charge after an hour of operation. Contacted tech staff and provided detailed description and video of malfunction to include control screen of charger. To explain the behavior, they stated charger would taper the charge at 80% and charger would do a thermal shut down at equipment temp of 60C (140F). Neither are correct - the charger did not taper in the previous 6 months and the Chevy Bolt does not taper AC charging. The temperature on control screen was around 35C (95 F). The "explanation" of the malfunction was inaccurate and did not address the actual conditions. The warranty period is 30 days. Although the price is tempting, pass this one up, or be prepared to buy another charger in 6 months, like I am doing. ... show more

I was a little nervous buying such an inexpensive EVSE, but this seems great so far! We are getting 34 amps off of it. I love that the cord is so long, too. I'll update this review if anything less than stellar comes up as we use it longer, but for now I am extremely pleased.

    • Good charger
After looking at all the different brands I went the frugal way and so far so good. I have a Chrysler Pacifica PHEV. It charges good, maybe even better then the level 1 charger. I think I get a few more electric miles. And just the fact that I can recharge it after running errands and I am good to go in 2 hrs is amazing. The con is it doesn't go in as easy as the Mopar level 1 that came with the car. I always feel like I want to fidget with it so it would start charging. I really don't need to but because it doesn't have that clear click sound when it's in it makes me feel like it's not connected. Other than that it seems to be really working well and will pay for itself fast with the great gas savings. ... show more
