I originally purchased a less expensive model from the same company and had a few issues. I upgraded to this one for only a little more money and it was the perfect charger for my Tesla with a lfp battery. It will charge quickly and unlike cheaper chargers, this one will keep shore power running so if you warm up your car, it pulls from the charger instead of your battery. The temperature has been below freezing here, so I warm up the car every morning. The battery is full and warmed up and my car is defrosted and toasty. I will probably upgrade to a 60 amp line so I can get that little bit faster charge, but for now using the 14-50 plug gives me great speed until I get the system hardwired. I had a different Lectron model previously and needed tech support. Their support was quick to respond and followed up until my issue was resolved. Great company and a great charger.

Plus: charges at 11kw/h Minuses: even though it charges my Tesla messages to use a different charger. Does not work at all on my non-Tesla EV. Is return it except I paid an electrician to hard wire it. Do not buy!!!!

The cable is much shorter than what other companies offer for the same price. The button does not open the charging port door — it only unlocks the charging port. When the Tesla reaches the set charging percentage and stops charging, I usually get an error (as far as I know, this happens with most non-original chargers). If you don’t care about these three issues, the charger is good: it’s compact and works well.

The Lectron charger may be the most versatile Tesla charger on Amazon, you have complete control of charging rates, the quality and "heft" of the charger is apparent when you open the double-walled thick cardboard box! This charger includes EVERYTHING you need to install it in just about any way you need to. You can do direct-wire or plug-in (includes the plug) all the brackets, cables, bolts, and most important the comprehensive instructions! You could hand this box to your installer and be assured that they will finish the job without having to come back 5 times to ask you to pay for "this adapter" or "that part" - it's ALL in the box! This package even includes the cable hook and holder for the NACS (Tesla) connector! So many other chargers don't include this! The NACS (Tesla) connector has the charger port opener button just like on the SuperChargers...everything feels and operates as a first-rate top-tier product (that it is!)! No WiFi, no screens, no subscriptions, no "app" that you don't need...this is "easy like Sunday morning..." it's actually more "Tesla" than the Tesla charger!
