I’ve even owned two Litter-Robot units in the past, but I genuinely prefer this one over all of them. What stood out to me most is the fully enclosed litter area lined with silicone. Many other models use a canvas-style liner that, while washable, eventually needs replacing and isn’t truly moisture-resistant—leading to leaks over time. The silicone liner on this unit eliminates that issue entirely, which has been a major improvement. So far, this litter box has exceeded my expectations—I was impressed enough to purchase a second one. My cats have been using automatic litter boxes for years, so they adjusted immediately without any issues. It’s also very reasonably priced for the quality and functionality it offers. Cleaning is significantly easier compared to other models I’ve owned. Typically, you have to wash the entire unit, including the frame and base. With this one, I only need to clean the liner and occasionally wipe down the base if needed. While it doesn’t have app connectivity, that hasn’t been a drawback for me. However, if you’re specifically looking for tracking features, this may not be the right fit. That said, it’s still absolutely worth considering if you want a reliable, low-maintenance option that performs well. The noise level is minimal, and although the buttons emit a small beep when pressed, the keypad must be manually unlocked—so pets can’t accidentally activate it. It’s durable, thoughtfully designed, and very pet-friendly. Overall, I highly recommend this litter box to anyone looking for a practical, easy-to-clean solution that truly delivers on its promises.

I’m honestly so glad I got this upgraded L1 litter box. It has made cleaning up after my cats so much easier. The open-top design is great because my cats don't feel trapped, and the self-cleaning feature works perfectly every time. I love that it has all those safety sensors too gives me peace of mind knowing it won’t run while my cats are near it. The waste bin holds a lot, and the included trash bags were a nice bonus. Maintenance is super simple, which is exactly what I needed. My house definitely smells fresher now, and my cats adjusted to it right away. If you’re tired of scooping or dealing with mess, this is honestly worth every penny!

This is our second self-scooping box. Our other box is another brand. We bought this one because of the open top. Our cats seemed to want a less confining space and it immediately became the favorite litter box. This box is super quiet. It scoops slowly and thoroughly and the litter always looks clean and dry when it is done. The waste container is much larger than our first box so we have to empty it less often. The waste container drawer seems tightly sealed when closed and it contains the smell very well over time. I do wish this box had an app that monitors usage and sends a notification if there is a problem. Overall it does its job very well and it is a good buy for the price paid.

Litter box has saved me time and money and both my senior and baby cat loves it. It’s easy to clean and a great upgrade from the regular litter box. It’s pretty easy to put together but it’s sturdy and can hold my old 16lb cat. Also the odor control is superior you can’t smell a thing even in the small bathroom they use. 10/10

The media could not be loaded. We correctly assembled this cat box on Saturday and put it into use on Sunday. We immediately noticed that the bowl insert is not stable and sways from side to side with the slightest touch. See video. My unit overall looks new but one of the components included was dirty and appeared to have been used. There was also a waste bag preloaded. I attempted to contact the seller directly but only received AI generated responses didn’t address my concerns. After much back and forth, I finally received a response from a person last night that only addressed the preloaded bag; not the SWAYING, stating they preload a bag as a convenience for customers. I had posed a question here asking other buyers if this was the case- a preloaded bag and swaying; two responded no. I asked the seller if I received a used unit; they only responded defensively with no proof that I received a brand new unit and not a reconditioned one. After much back and forth they finally addressed the “swaying” of the unstable litter ‘bowl’ and said this is normal- that it does sway a bit but that it doesn’t interfere with it’s function. I had hoped that I did receive a used unit and this swaying wasn’t “normal”. Cats need stability and secure footing while in their most vulnerable state- expecting them to use this box as intended is risky. Yesterday, less than 24 hours in use, the smell was close to unbearable. The litter tray isn’t sealed and the odor easily escapes, up through the large 1” gaps that are present along the flat top of the sifter. Those gaps lead right down to the tray. We woke up today to an even worse stench and only just moments ago, now a horrendous stench. There is now poop on the top of that flat part and in the hinge. CLEARLY one of my cats didn’t feel safe because of the SWAYING and opted to poop on the box instead of in it. I spend hours researching which box was best to buy and regrettably opted for this one. All things considered, this is going to have to be returned.
