I've purchased this cord around 4 times already because my sister is clumsy and keeps breaking it somehow, and let me tell you, this is probably the best replacement cord you can find. Right out of the box it works great, looks exactly like the one the headset comes with and the sound quality is VERY good. I will admit that it is around $5 more expensive than the other brands you can find, but trust me when I say those $5 can go a long way in quality. In all multiple purchases I've tried of these I've never had any of the issues that other brand replacements have. My boyfriend's cat had nibbled on my original cord for my Astro A10s, so I ordered this as my replacement. It was the same as the original and had a bit of a fresh/new feel. I've had no issues, no bad manufacturing or difference in sound, but it did take a while for it to uncoil.

Overall is a good item but the original, had a function that when you flip up the mic mute the headset, this useful function is not incorporated on the new cable. the sound quality is the same, very good cable for the price.

Controls volume up and down but does not lower volume all the way off. At its lowest setting, I can still hear volume. The lowest setting should be off or so low you can’t hear.
