I got the OEM EVSE with the bolt that draws 32A at 240V. I wanted another EVSE that gave me control over the Amperage for use when traveling and at home. I also wanted the long 25 foot cable which this has. The outlet I use at home is rated for 40 amps. My son has a 2013 Volt. The Volt level 2 charge defaults to 12 A (maybe 15) and that combined with my OEM 32A would overload the 40A breaker. With the Keruida set to 16A for the Bolt and the OEM EVSE on the Volt the current is not greater than 32A. The Keruida has been mounted outside for over 2 months with no problems. The OEM EVSE is mounted in the garage pluged into the 240V outlet that is also connected to my RV 240V outside plug. I've pluged the Keruida into the outside plug. The charge cable is thicker than the OEM EVSE and becomes a little stiffer with temps in the teens compared to the OEM EVSE cable.

As advertised. Used it once at 110V, now 3 times at 220v, both at 13A. Charged a little faster than stock 12Amp at 110V, charged great at 220V. So far, excellent charger. 👍

Replace a 5+ yr old OEM that had become unreliable. Like adjustable charge rate. Have only used 120 VAC &has worked well.
