I have used several different paddles that were rated 5 stars but this is the first one thar was actually a 5 star paddle and it is very noticeable (also this is my first paddle review since my experience with this one was so amazing). I went to the rec center yesterday to try it out for a few games before working out but playing with this paddle was so addictive that I ended up playing about 25 games straight because I didn’t want to stop playing, this paddle is so fun to play with. My serves were even harder to return as I was able to hit with more precision and power putting the ball wherever I wanted to on the court. Dropping the ball into the kitchen is something Ive been struggling with and I was able to do it with ease. I was putting the ball in places that were making it impossible for my opponents to return. It has power when you need it and a soft touch when you want to keep the ball low over the net into the kitchen. I don’t spin the ball a lot but it does have a grip that bites the ball and I will start integrating that into my game more. I got a lot of compliments on my shots yesterday and I was playing some pretty advanced players who I was easily dominating even sometimes even playing with a weaker partner. I was hitting some shots that even surprised myself at times, I was like woah I can’t believe I hit that shot and my partner would be like wow what a shot! This paddle is amazing and I am so so so glad I purchased it, it almost feels unfair to play with this paddle. 😂 But the negative part is I ended up playing for almost 5 hours straight and I didn’t get to work out so now my legs are so sore I can barely get out of bed. 😭🥹 ✅ Power ✅ Precision ✅ Sweet Spot ✅ High Quality ✅ Addiction ✅ Surface Grip for Spinning the ball ✅ Best Paddle I have ever played with If you really want to level up your game and have a paddle that makes playing pb even more fun than it already is than this is the paddle for you, BUY IT NOW! Now that I have had time to play a few games with this, I can give this a full review. Overall, I have come to like this paddle quite a bit for control, but it lacks the spin of my previous paddle is is not as forgiving. The power is great though and I have adjusted my game to match. The RFID chip is a bit of a pointless gimmick that is just a link to their website to register the paddle. They don't really advertise any other capabilities coming for it but maybe they will in the future. In all this is a good intermediate paddle that I will keep using for a while.

I picked up the Double Vision in the elongated (Hyperion) head, and it’s been a fun mix of pace and feel. The NFC chip in the handle worked as advertised for registration on my phone (nice touch, a bit gimmicky—a QR card would do the job). It’s basically JOOLA’s newer NFC system that ties your paddle to their warranty database, which made setup quick. Grip and handling The handle feels a bit more square in-hand than most paddles I own, which actually helped me feel face angle and grip changes during points. If you care about handle geometry, you’ll get why that matters for orientation and comfort. Surface and touch The face has real bite, and it plays softer on dinks and drops than I expected. That lines up with JOOLA’s “aramid surface” and the SK Film layer between face and core, which they say adds dwell and tamps vibration. I don’t usually lean on marketing copy, but the softer touch checks out in play. Power and swing speed This head swings quick and whippy, and driving the ball felt easy. The Hyperion shape is similar in vibe to an Invikta-style paddle. Elongated paddles generally trade a little forgiveness for reach and leverage, which is exactly how this one plays. Sweet spot and forgiveness Compared to my daily-driver XS XSPAK 12K and my Selkirk Vanguard Power Air, the Double Vision’s sweet spot feels smaller, so accuracy matters more, especially on counters. That’s consistent with how elongated heads usually behave versus wider faces. If you want more built-in forgiveness, the wider Scorpeus-style head in the Double Vision line is the variant I’d look at. Durability so far After several sessions, edge and surface are holding up well. Aramid construction is pitched as tougher and more impact-resistant while staying soft on touch shots, which seems to match how mine is wearing in. Who will like this - Players who want a lively, elongated head that whips through the air and still gives a cushioned feel on resets and dinks. - Anyone who appreciates quick warranty registration and authenticity checks via the built-in NFC. - If you prefer a bigger, more forgiving sweet spot, consider the Double Vision in the wider Scorpeus shape instead of the elongated Hyperion head. Bottom line A fast, powerful paddle with a genuinely softer short game and a handle that makes face angle easy to read. The trade-off is a smaller sweet spot, so if you miss off-center a lot, pick your shape carefully. For the price in the Double Vision line, it’s a high-value way to try JOOLA’s aramid-face and SK Film tech without spending Pro-model money.
