Does the trick and seems really well built. My only regret, and this is 100% on me, is that I wish I went with a darker shade. The only reason for that is that I have this to give me shade while watching baseball games out on my deck. I bought the off-white version to match my chair cushions. But, that reflects off the TV. Thus, I wish I went with black. But, again, that is me. Otherwise, this is worth way more than what I paid for it. Price is way too less for the quality that you get. Civil affordable that I actually may purchase black just because.

This umbrella is exactly what we were looking for. The colors are as pictured in the add and match our patio set beautifully. We really like the fact that the pole is a dark grey shade, and not brown like most of the other brands. The crank is good and low and easy to use. I use them to provide shade on my second story deck to make it livable in the summer. They also shade the second story of my house and save electricity. It is best if I close them in very high winds, however, before I learned this, they survived being whipped by high winds and blown off the second story to the ground multiple times. I’m surprised, but the stand works just as well (and gives me flexibility in positioning the umbrella) as attaching the umbrella to my deck railing … IF ….. I completely fill the stand with sand and water.
