Installation is straight forward. The included cables are substantial and high quality, using industry-standard Anderson connectors. The unit itself feels heavy, durable, and bigger than you expect. Like a good size hardcover book but it’s a good few pounds of metal. The hardest part (which took some time as I was being careful) is running the main supply cable bundle from the back to the front of my 4Runner. The channels directly under the door thresholds are perfect for this, and on the passenger side there is already a big grommet with room to cut an additional hole. I mounted the charger on a molle panel I had already installed by the rear passenger window, and that side is where I usually place the Jackery Explorer 1500 V2. I tied the ACC signal wire into the positive (green) 12 volt wire in the rear 12 volt output socket which conveniently comes on and off with engine. I used a soldering iron to connect a thinner solid core piece of wire from the rather thick signal wire of the charger to the small stock 12 volt wire. To do this I removed the tray on top of the hump back there which gives plenty of room to work on the wiring. If I don’t have the Jackery power bank on board and don’t want the charger pulling load from the alternator, then I simply disconnect the signal wire’s Anderson connector from the unit to prevent it from powering up. Initial testing at idle showed almost 400 watts of input into the power bank. I did not test while driving yet but the packaging says it should put out up to 600 watts when cruising. Even at idle, my power bank which started out at 80% charged said it was estimating about 0.6 hours to reach 100%. I didn’t run long enough to verify but this should do just fine for me. I really wanted a solid reasonably fast charging option when in remote locations like beach camping if there is not enough sun to charge via solar panels. Or at home as a good way to recharge my power bank if I’m having to run my home fridge and other items for an extended power outage. Will report back if any future issues.

I've had my Jackery 1000v2 for over a year and I can't believe it took me SOOO long to pick this up and install it! While using the solar panels to charge is nice, this is a true GAME CHANGER! If you have a Jackery, do not think anymore about this and just buy it! You will not regret it for a second. Install was super straightforward and easy to do. Highly recommend!

Very easy to use. Portable. Ditch the 12V Cigarette charger that comes with it and get this instead. Yes it's pricey but it's worth it. I should've gotten this long time ago. You can get any brand you want but I went for this one because I already have the Jackery Power station. Please note that it won't work with any Jackery system, look at what is compatible before buying. I'm using this on my Jackery Exployer 1000 v2. Charging speed, I love it so far. Exactly what I'm looking for. I'm using this on my 2024 Subaru Crosstrek and to keep a constant power on my portable car refrigerator.

I'm a huge fan of this product. this was easy to install and my Jeep Wrangler, driving around with the unit plugged into this makes life so much easier. Always has a full charge when I pull into camp. I run a portable refrigerator off of my Jackery battery 1000 along with an electric coffee pot. I highly recommend it. I really like this product.
