It's hard to believe in 2024 that an electronics manufacturer like Jabra cannot make a device that is readily compatible with an android smartphone using bluetooth. I followed the installation directions, made sure my phone was compatible, downloaded the app, tried to connect to the earpieces... nothing. Called tech support (they were great and answered right away) and they sent a troubleshooting guide that indicated there were known issues with android phones running version 12.0. Asked me to delete the app and reload from the play store and then follow a "work-around" solution. Unfortunately when I went to reload, the app, it had been removed from the play store for some reason. Called tech support and they said that the app was "undergoing maintenance" and unavailable at the moment. Asked me to download the "pro" version of the Jabra app since it was "exactly the same". Followed directions, loaded pro version of app. Tried to connect using the work-around procedure... nothing. Left earpiece then started powering off for no reason while trying to connect even though it was fully charged. Having worked on basic connectivity for over 3 hours, the friction of continuing to work on what appears to be a defective product exceeded my patience. Back in the box, return, refund, done.

Recently, just before a trip, one of my Kirkland hearing aids died. Normally, I would have gone to Costco to purchase a new hearing aid, but that is a lengthy process, and I did not have time to do it. So I searched Amazon for “best hearing aids” and looked at the several offerings. Some were more highly rated than the Jabra Enhance Select 50R but the user comments suggested that their tech support would be lacking. I knew Jabra from other products and its had good tech support, so I bought the Jabra unit. Out-of-the-box it’s a good hearing aid. Jabra tech support improved it for me by using the results of the online hearing test, which has to be completed before the unit is activated, to tune the frequency responses which was posted on the Jabra Enhance app for downloading. That helped but I still had issues. When this was reported to tech support. I received a second update file to download. I applied it and the hearing aid is now significantly improved. Those actions by tech support took only a few days. During my trip, the audio function of my smartphone failed. I decided to buy an updated model, then transferred my files to the new smartphone. The Jabra Enhance app transferred but it did not include the frequency updates. I so notified tech support, and the next day received a new file to download. When rating hearing aids, my experience shows that tech support is key to getting the best performance from the unit, because each person’s response is different. Jabra did this for me, and that is why I have given it a 5-star rating

Had to replace the wires between the aids and the ear buds on both sets of aids I bought. First time was a breeze on my aids. The second time was a literal pain in the neck on my wife’s aids. Should have been a breeze since I gave them the same information as I did on my aids, but it wasn’t. They wanted serial numbers and a greater description of what the problem was and wanted me to do the trouble shooting after I already told them I had. I was literally in shock at the different treatment I received getting my wife’s aids working again. On my aids it took a few days to get the new wire I needed. On my wife’s aids it took almost 2 months. I gave a 4 star review because the aids have been very good, but the customer service on my wife’s aids was so bad I will not purchase these aids again.

I have to admit that I was skeptical when I purchased my Jabra Enhance Select Hearing Aids. How could a set of their hearing aids compete with sets costing four or five times as much? But, they made a believer of me. I can only tell of my personal experiences here, but I don't think they were unique. First off, right out of the box, they fit me perfectly. I spoke with a licensed audiologist from Jabra who answered any questions I had. Now, the best part! I was able to hear sounds I hadn't remembered hearing for years. It's funny how after a while you take for granted that you hear the sounds you were missing -----until you take the hearing aids out! That , for me anyhow, was my AHA moment. That's when I appreciated just how much they were helping my hearing. I also love the convenience of being able to make adjustments in volume, etc. from your smartphone. I guess by now you've realized I'm a satisfied user.

Trust this brand. This purchased was my fifth hearing aid. Out of the box it work perfectly and the sound quality beats out Boze/Lexie. Not to mention that bluetooth worked out of the box, too.

I bought the Jabra enhanced hearing aids thru amazon, purchased in sept. I have had nothing but trouble with them. today although they were charged I could not hear anything. I resorted to using my back up. hearing aids. I paid 1000.00 plus for them and they have not performed as advertised. I have contacted Jabra support often, in the past month I have contacted them and they have not responded to me. I would like to return the hearing aids. as a senior citizen I can not afford to pay $1000. plus for a product that does not perform as advertised. I would like a refund.
