This is an excellent litter box. Yes, it is small … the dimensions are clear in the description. If you don’t want a small litter box, then don’t buy it. People complaining that it’s too small, well, you obviously didn’t pay attention to the description. In one of the negative reviews, an extremely long negative reviews, the lady complained that the lid doesn’t attach to the box … YES, YES IT DOES! You didn’t bother to look at it closely, obviously, and I’ll bet you’re not happy with anything you purchase and you just like to complain. Sturdiness … it’s just fine. For the price of $15, you won’t find a better litter box. For those complaining that the corners are too squared … hogwash. They are rounded enough. If you don’t want a square litter box, then buy a round one for crying in the night. After reading the negative reviews, I was hesitant to buy it, but I had a hunch … and for the price, I’m glad I gave in to the hunch, because my expectations were far exceeded. What I’ve gathered from reading reviews on many products is that people don’t pay attention to details before they click “Add to Cart” and then go to great lengths to leave negative reviews on perfectly fine products.     • Decent dupe that good improve

I got this to upgrade one of our older hooded boxes to an open-top style, which most cats prefer. I chose this over one of the more expensive models like the ModKat or the Cove box, both of which I have in other locations in the house. This is much more affordable and a nice clean styling. Overall a nice option. The lock function doesn't work well to keep the high-side shield in place, which is not a big deal. My biggest gripe is the little cut-ins in the front, which create extra corners and are a great place for dirty litter to accumulate and hard to clean with a scoop. Otherwise a very nice box, but this styling could be improved to make it easier to clean. Still a good lower cost model! ... show more

This box works perfectly EXCEPT....... if you have a cat that raises her hiney when urinating.... The lid just basically sits on top of bottom piece, so when she backs up, lifting her rear and does her business, the urine is able to escape through the area where top pc and bottom pc sit flush.... making a pudding of urine escaping through and hitting floor. IF she would just squat, and pee, all is great.....but she doesn't. Otherwise a great product. (I actually used packaging tape to buffer the seam inside, and it prevented urin leakage, but its gross to remove tape each time we suds up to clean box. ... show more

I was excited to try this.. When I took it out of the box I could tell right then it was smaller in length then what I already have. My current litter box is 19"L from base straight up.. So definitely the measurement description was a bit off for this..Bottom base of this litter box is actually only 15" in length, but when you measure it from the top where the splash guard clicks on it spreads out a little more so your top length is almost at 18". Bottom base of WIDTH is a little over 11" and the top of the width is 14" and 1/2.. I was just counting on the litter container being 19" in length overall like the measurement said to be. Not sure if i'm keeping it yet, The lid does fit and click on perfectly but I don't know how the Lady will feel about doing her business in a bit of a smaller cramped box if you know what I mean.. Dred finding out if her butt hangs out and miss pees through the opening... I did buy a pee pad to help just in case! It does appear to be a good product though but designed for a tiny cat.. I have a petite medium sized cat and still she will be to long for it, so anything over that look for something bigger. ... show more

I purchased this litter box as I was having surgery that was going to restrict my bending over for quite a few weeks. I also purchase a long handled litter scoop. I was very happy that access to the litter was very easy. I used a closed trash with lid, scooped often and avoided any bad smells. Even after a couple of weeks, when I stopped using the long handled scoop (it was awkward), I love the ease of access and cleanup. My surround side piece locked in place just fine and had no leaks. Prior I used such a "cute" pink litter box with covered top; but I LOVE this box. Well on my way to healing and bending over find, I am in no rush to return my cat to her old litter box. ... show more

This summer I found myself with 2 more kittens thanks to a stray momma cat. I needed some more litter boxes and opted for these. I knocked off a star because they have an indentation in the bottom that makes getting them clean a hassle. I like the higher sides because it prevents accidental discharge over the side and contains the flying litter when a kitten is testing out it's digging skills. As for the upper part -- one of them locks on just fine -- the other one not so well. They are a perfect size to slide in between the toilet and bathroom cabinet. ... show more

With two tall cats, one of whom doesn't squat to pee, this solved the problem we had of the cats peeing over the side of the regular height litter box. A small design problem, however, is the space in front of the access to the box has a raised square in the middle, making it difficult to clean well there. Though this is smaller than the first box my cat was using, it's still enough for a 10lbs cat. I wish there was a bigger size though hehe.
