Thank you. I was diagnosed with auditory processing disorder in middle school, my right brain is more dominant than my left and wow it really favors my left ear first and my right ear last. It does not effect me one on one but I recently as an adult have started doing some simple courses and was immediately reminded why I dropped college and did vocational school. I wanted to cry two weeks ago, I was in a big echo lecture hall and I was focusing so hard on hearing things in the right order, I wasn’t comprehending and then I’d sit trying to decode it like it then they’d be talking about something else new and join in midway, ugh. I almost cried. I got these overnighted and have been fiddling with them and used them in the concert hall setting again, woah! I could cut all surrounding noise out and only hear their voice and especially when I set the front facing mics on, I couldn’t hear anything behind me!!!! I had clarity and what’s most important since I don’t have hearing loss with my diagnosis, but because both ears heard it at the same pitch and volume- neither one favored over the other first and my hearing was stable!!! I don’t care that I’m 27 walking around with hearing aids!! These are so custom to perfection and easy!!! I’ve built a business around my disability only working one on one with people, I do still hear things from one wrong side of the to other, don’t ask me to find your phone in the room lol, I just got to feel so normal today! The lecture felt like a one on one convo, and- I sat on the far left of the hall so my bad ear of the side that struggles most, and had zero issue! I don’t have to be a front row and center student like I remember!!! Thank you, they also let me play music on my loud speaker at my office, then I pop in my aids and the music stays on my speakers for my clients and I get to hear evenly an I can hear my music too or I set it to cut all background and it mutes everything but my customers voice!!! Thank you so much! I can’t wait for live concerts and stand up comedy, I’ve always felt a little robbed by how poor my comprehension of hearing is at those… I get to try so many new things now, thank you!!

As I bought Nuheara IQbuds 2 MAX for the hearing amplification my review ranking is with respect to that function. My conclusion is that the set I bought were not fit for purpose. I found that I could hear people better without the Buds than with them, i.e., people’s voices were louder when I removed the buds. I contacted Nuheara support who were very responsive and recommended trying multiple ear tips, recalculating the Ear ID each time. Sadly, regardless of ear tips used I could hear people better without the Buds than I could with them. I was unable to increase the volume of other people’s voices to an acceptable level. Nuheara support concluded that if they are not amplifying anything at all and they sound like ear plus in in my ear, it may be a fault and I may want to replace the set returning them to amazon for refund or replacement: AMAZON only offer a refund rather than a replacement, refunding only when the product is returned to them. I live in Singapore and my local post office would not accept ear Buds for shipment and referred me to UPS or any other courier service. I went to a UPS agent and was surprised that the cost to send these back to AMAZON was $115 Singapore Dollars. As that is approximately 34% of their purchase cost I didn’t feel that it was worth throwing more money at this and decided to keep the set for audio usage and with the Nuheara IQstream™ TV, which does work well.

I have worn these earbuds for over a year now, and so I have experience with the good features as well as the areas that need improvement. The EarID app walks you through a comprehensive hearing test and automatically adjusts the hearing modes, but you can go into each of the presets and adjust them to suit your needs. I also like that you can either turn on "Synch On" or adjust the volume and treble/ bass for each preset with synch off. You can set up to four preset hearing modes as touch features, making it easy to go from the Home, Street, Restaurant, and Office settings with a long touch of your finger. There is a "Focus On" option too, which works best when you want to tone down surround noise. The sound quality is excellent, especially when listening to music. I love that the Bluetooth works on my phone, tablet, or desktop, enabling me to stream movies on my Samsung tablet. Many of the other devices advertising Bluetooth did not allow you to do all three, which defeats the purpose of having Bluetooth to begin with! Most of all, I have a poor sense of direction. I can program my destination in Google Maps on my phone, turn on Bluetooth, and drive anywhere clearly hearing the directions. My only criticism with this product are the tips, which come with three silicone tips and three foam tips, both in S, M, and L. Despite this, I had trouble le finding a tip that completely fit my ear. I would also be thrilled if these were smaller, as they do stick out from my ear, and take some getting used to. The battery time is a little short, but the charging case will charge them up fairly fast and I generally get three recharges before having to put the case on a charger. I am moderately hard of hearing and know that my hearing is only going to get worse. At some point, I will be forced to upgrade to a real hearing aid. But the sound quality and Bluetooth features make this an excellent intermediary solution that I am reluctant to give up until other OztC hearing aids adopt fuller Bluetooth capability!
