  • Got it for a heck of a price!
Size: 15 ft Style: Pool Cover
I snagged two of these at $15 each. These are great for keeping our pool covered when not in use for about one season. They only last us one summer, as the wear and tear of taking them on and off and the summer heat causes them to stretch and tear around the drain holes. We take our pool down at the end of every season and just pitch the cover. The little tie is not enough to secure the pool cover during storms, so I use Velcro strips to attach the cover to several of the legs of our pool. Works great. ... show more

Size: 10 ft Style: Pool Cover
It's great for the price and easy set up. Material is great and last many seasons with proper care. I recommend this product to whoever wants a small pool. The pump worked a couple of seasons as well.

  • for the price, an excellent product
Size: 15 ft Style: Pool Cover
The photo doesn't quite show the product we got, there are some differences. The logo placement, which is no big deal. Also, there are holes through the cover which allow the passage of air. These are a good thing, keeping a vacuum from forming, keeping the thing from acting like a wing in high winds and blowing off into your neighbor's yard. It's just that the photo doesn't show the actual product. maybe the one in the photo is an earlier model? We actually have the 13' pool, but there is no cover that size available, so we got this one. It works just fine despite the size difference. In fact, because we have the extra area, we don't have to take the ladder out to put the cover on. We just stretch the cover over the ladder. Which made me realize that if you DO have the 15' pool, you would have to remove the ladder to put the cover on. I'm kinda lazy, so that's not an appealing idea to me. The vinyl is thick and high quality, which matters a lot to us as we live in a desert with very high UV that destroys everything in a short amount of time.Even so, I've noticed a bleaching effect occurring around the areas with the holes. Not sure if that's the chlorine from the pool water, the sun's rays being amplified by the water on top of the cover, or a combination of the two. Pretty sure that's gonna be where the vinyl starts failing, though. I have noticed we lose hardly any water to evaporation when using the cover. Without any cover, we were losing 2"/day of water! The desert is a harsh mistress. We were using black plastic sheathing before we bought this cover, and I'm very happy with the convenience of the cover, the drawstring, the seams, all of that kinda stuff. Marked improvement over our rigged up cheapo cover. I do wish it were a lighter color to help reflect the sun more. It looks light blue, but is more of a medium blue, and it gets pretty hot to the touch in the full sun. When you remove it, it burns your hands pretty quickly if you're not careful. That's not the fault of the cover, though, and I see no way to remedy that except to shade your whole pool. For the price, it's fantastic, although i have a feeling with our harsh conditions, it won't last more than a year. That's par for the course here, though, so not really a minus. It's a good value. If you have the pool, you should get the cover. In fact, I think they only sell the pools with covers now, so that should tell you how much they help. ... show more

  • Decent cover for the price. A few considerations, but overall OK and gets the job done.
Size: 10 ft Style: Pool Cover
We have an intex 10' x 30' pool with the metal frame. We used a 12 foot round cover previously. Overall, I think we preferred that one because of how much more room you have on the edges that overlap. This cover has small holes between the size of a dime or nickle around the first two or three feet from the edge and they're spaced pretty far in between. The middle has a few more placed closer together. It is mainly to help the water back into the pool when it gathers. It will keep lighter debris from the pool. I wouldn't recommend this type of cover (with holes in it) if you have an extremely dusty or area with a lot of small debris that will gather on the cover. The main reason being is that it will end up getting some of it mixed back in with the pool water and you'll have to deal a bit more with cleaning it out. For those type of areas, i'd recommend one of the other covers that has no holes. Another thing, I think others mentioned is that it doesn't sit as tightly around the pool as in the picture. It is doable, but it's likely not to stay that way because it will stretch a little anyway and the heat will help with that. We use a small water inflatable boat (for toddlers....you can find them at the dollar store), it's about 2 feet by 3 feet in size- and place it in the center before we put the cover on. It helps the water only gather to the sides and makes it a little easier to handle when water gathers, either from rain or from the pool water coming up from the holes in the cover. It has a seam on it that is supposed to fit around where the metal frame of the pool is, but unless you get this thing pretty tight with the draw string, it's not going to sit like that. When water gathers, as it does noted earlier, you'll find that the seam tends to pull in toward the pool more, thus making the sides come up higher. As the sides come up, more water gathers and the cover starts to go under more....needless to say, if you baby it a little you'll be ok. I did have the same issue as others, the hole where the drawstring comes out ripped from trying to pull it much tighter. I'd think you might want to pull it tighter OFF of the pool- especially after letting it sit in the sun for a really short while....just to make the material a slightly more pliable/easier to work with. Just a thought. I think I am going to end up getting some plastic clamps from Harbor freight to clamp to the metal frame to help it set a little better- at least for longer periods when not being used. We only put our pool up in the summer, so it's not too much to work with this though. The pool water still gets pretty warm when the cover is on. Overall, it is a decent cover. I think with maybe a couple of metal grommets, or reinforcing, that might help it not tear when pulling tighter. It serves its purpose well and does what I expect it to do- cover the pool and keep out debris. I was aware of the holes and how much more "fitted" it would be versus a larger cover, but wanted to try it out. As a side note - our general setup and how we came to do things- for those curious about the "real use" in this review... with the 12 foot cover that had no holes, we do have a short pool ladder, so we'd use that in the center of the pool and put that cover over when not using. It made it more like a "tent" so water would simply run straight off to the sides. We also used a water pool "noodle" (another dollar store find) and cut a 4 to 5 inch piece off for each of the ladder legs so that it would be less likely to punch through the pool bottom. Since we the pool on cement, we also put down a set of those puzzle type foam mats directly under it. At any rate, I don't know if I would buy this product again yet. One other issue we had with the previous cover, the sun "cooked" the cover- that and I imagine the chlorine as well...to the point of it getting brittle and cracking. This was with 3 summer seasons of use. I've only used this cover for about 3 weeks, so I have yet to know what will happen with this one. Aside from that. for the price paid and "cost per use ratio', I'd say it will wind up well spent. Besides, my kids are having a blast in that pool regardless of what the cover is doing or not doing. ... show more

  • Great Pool Cover
Size: 12-Foot Style: Pool Cover
This cover is great for the money. I will say that the draw string doesn’t help to much but I just bought a few clamps and it stayed on just fine through a rain storm. I don’t see any issue with the holes in the top they seem pretty necessary. Overall great purchase for our pool

  • Was. good for one season use. Torn now.
Size: 15 ft Style: Pool Cover
The media could not be loaded. I didn't expect this cover to last long because it's so thin. Of course, it's only been on my pool for just over a month, but it has held up through alot of very windy days here in SC. Fingers crossed that it lasts much longer. 🤞 UPDATE: april 25th. Cover is torn. Hoped it would last more then one use. Idk if it can be repaired??? See photo. ... show more
