I've only had this a few days, so i can't speak on the longevity of this vacuum , but I'm impressed so far. After giving it a full charge after unboxing, it was super easy to set up and get running. I saw some reviews that had issues with the app, but so far it's worked with no issues for me. I have an older roomba that would always zig zag across the floor. This vacuum runs nice clean lines back and forth. There's way more options than i thought it'd have for the price point. The mapping is a nice feature and is surprisingly accurate. The sensors seem to work really well as it's not running into everything, but stopping just before, then turning. It's suction power is also stronger than i thought, and is adjustable. I'm really happy with this purchase, and definitely the price point since my old roomba was over $400 when I bought it, and this cleans better with way more features.

For a robot vacuum I LOVE it i had ordered one from Wal-mart got it in set it up and started it working the thing would only clean ramdom areas. So started looking again found this one and thought we'll give it a try. Got it in set it up (Downloaded App, and charged it) then let it map (the other 1 didn't have that feature) then it started vacuuming. You can set a schedule for it to vacuum anytime day or night for all 7 days, the strength for suction, it can even be set for vacuuming a room 1 or 2 times, you can set the order of which rooms you want vacuum in a curtain order and can even block and area off where it will not go to vacuum, there is also a feature so You can set it for hours to not vacuum. WHAT IF CHARGE RUNS OUT BEFORE FINISHED??? DON'T WORRY THE VACUUM WILL FIND THE CHARGER GO DOCK RECHARGE AND THEN GO BACK TO WHERE IT WAS AT TO FINISH IT'S JOB!!!!!

This robot is easy to use and the charging station takes up minimal space which I like. I prefer a vacuum that I empty rather than paying for bags - and filling the landfill with those bags. I have yet to get it to connect with my wifi so I'm using it by picking it up and moving it -- that's sort of ok since the bin is small and I need to empty it pretty frequently as I have a dog that sheds quite a bit. But, this robot picks up her hair and mine (yeah I shed too haha) and it's easy to empty the bin and clean the filter. What I don't like is that if I fully charge the vacuum for the next time, but unplug the charger, when I come back after several days the charge seems to be drained even though I haven't used it since fully charging it. And charging is kind of slow. One more thing I don't like - this vacuum doesn't fit under my sofa although I expected that it would given the stated dimensions and my perhaps inaccurate measurement of my space. (A previous robot that I owned had a slimmer profile and did clean under the sofa.) For the price, though, I like this robot. This vacuum cleans under my bed, yay! I bought extra filters and an insurance policy from the company and it's still very inexpensive. I really hate vacuuming with a regular stick vacuum. Oh and here's another plus -- my dog (a husky mix) hates regular vacuums too -- and she's not afraid of this one :)

So far we are very happy with this purchase. Had an iRobot before and it did not work with our carpet/dog hair. We have a dog that sheds a lot and the ILIFE vacuum has made managing that so much better! It changes suction automatically when it gets to the carpet and when it’s done the bin is full of hair and is very easy to empty and keep clean. I set a schedule for it to run every morning and so far it has been great!

Edit- After several months the vacuum started activating it's daily schedule in the middle of the night, during dnd. This led to a frustrating journey of uninstalling the app, resetting modems, and all that. I don't know if it was my network or the vacuum, but when I finally got everything sorted I was happy to see that the map has not been erased. The definition of the perfect gift is when you give someone something they never would have gotten for themselves and they instantly realize they can't live without it. This iLife A30s Robot Vacuum is the perfect gift. I got this for my little sister who is in her mid 40s. She's one of those clean freaks who always keeps her house spotless. She is technologically proficient, but was never going to waste her time with some basic bump bot. The A30s is brilliant in its simplicity. The app is very easy to use. I did not read the directions and had Riley the Robot (She named it) mapping the house in no time. In the photo I have included you will notice that the A30s cleaned 1174 square feet in 95 minutes. This was AFTER fully mapping the home. My sister LOVES that she can see the actual route Riley has taken. You can choose three cleaning modes, four levels of suction, and an entire list of functions. Within an hour my little sister was exclaiming that she had no idea how she has lived without this little robot. A week later, the floors are still spotless. It has excellent battery life, and my sister being the maniac she is, finds the low noise level to be soothing. (She's a weird one!) This robot is the ATV of robot vacuums, actually running up onto the empty bottom shelf of a bookcase to give it a sweep. It effortlessly handles shag rugs, although the exceptionally long shag can give it a bit of trouble. Can't blame it for that! This is a fantastic machine that instantly makes your life easier. I will be buying one for myself next! Vacuuming is for peasants!

This may be my favorite robotic vacuum so far. This my 5th robotic vacuum. After the first two I thought I wanted a self emptying and after my last self emptying one that didn’t run more than it did run I’ve gone back to the basic empty it yourself robotic vacuum. I’ve had this for a month. I bought two, one for my upstairs and one for my downstairs. Right out of the box it’s pretty intuitive. Download the app, connect to the WiFi. After it is charged it will map your area and start cleaning. It took maybe 10 minutes to map my area. It doesn’t get hung up on my rugs, hasn’t gotten stuck under anything, it goes underneath my bedroom dressers and makes its way back out. So far it has not gotten any cords wrapped around the roller and I have to think there may have been opportunity. It has gotten stuck in my bathroom a couple of times as it goes in and gets behind the door and gets stuck inside. I will say it doesn’t just keep running until the battery is dead, it stops after a while and when someone comes and lets it out it will continue cleaning. It has not lost connection to the WiFi. I have it scheduled for everyday at 4 - note the time in the app is military time. There are some different configurations like if you want it to lap tighter, not run at certain times, suction on rugs to be higher. I’m really surprised at the value of this vacuum. A lot of features for the money and it just seems to effortlessly work. Ideally I would have preferred black but the white is fine.

Not exactly a good vacuum for mixed flooring surfaces. Has trouble with brush clearing varied heights and even sometimes getting stuck on wood floors. Why can't it clear a jam if there is nothing actually blocking the brush? Also, isn't able to clean a whole lot on the battery it has, so I'd take off another point.

I've had a slow-to-warm impression of this vac. I've only had one other robot vacuum (airrobo). After a month or so of use, I'm liking it more. Things I like: *The mapping capability. You can use it or not. If you save the map, it makes it possible to select zones. *The ability to clean only certain rooms or zones, which I like because my dining table and chairs always trap both this and the airrobo, so I can deselect that room if I don't have time to move chairs. *The automatic timer in the app. I can program it to run every night while I'm sleeping Also, with the app, you can activate it when you're not at home. Things I don't like: *There is only one side brush. This is a major design flaw and would seem a non-negotiable sacrifice in the production costs. Cost to build is the only reason I can see not to have one on both sides. I'd pay the extra for the additional brush. *The mapping laser is inside a little disc on top, which makes it too tall to get under certain pieces of my furniture. *It won't go over the same area more than once. As soon as it has made one pass over all, it goes back to the base. Sometimes there is still 70% battery left. I haven't figured any way to change this. My airrobo would clean until the charge was depleted, it would vacuum each area repeatedly until it ran out of juice. My house is small but needs a good vacuuming due to pets. *It doesn't do corners , but this is maybe the case with most robot vacs. It seems like if the side brushes were longer it could reach into corners. I don't think a robot vacuum will eliminate the need for a traditional vacuum -at least not either of the ones I've had- but I've found it essential for pet hair management.
