I bought this to give another shaded area in my yard for my outdoor formerly feral cats. My covered patio gets hot in the warmest months because it is metal. The plan was to attach it to my garage and my shed on one side and then 2 poles on the other. It was too heavy for my plastic shed. The poles made for these shades are more expensive than I wanted and couldn’t just be pushed into the ground. They have to be placed in dug holes with cement. My dad had some fence posts that we used instead. We just pounded them into the ground and I reinforced them by using zip ties on the fence. So the shade is lower to the ground, but it’s fine since it’s for the cats and not humans. It provides great shade for them. I loved the price of this and the choice of colors. ... show more

Well I should've ordered the rectangular version for more shade coverage. The included strings are to short in length but the overall shade fabric quality is decent.
