Waste of money if you are buying shade sail and using this hardware. One of the turnbuckles broke. Got one at a hardware store for $2 and much better quality. If you are buying a shade sail all you need is chain, screw eyes or hooks, and better quality turnbuckles.

    • Nice sail anchoring kit but cheap fastners
This is a pretty good kit. The Pad Eye's, Turnbuckles and Carabiners/Snap hooks are solid and well made but the screws are crap. Toss the screws, get some good ones from the hardware store or the bottom of your tool box. Don't waste your time stripping the heads and then all your "free time" trying to remove these cheaply made fastners. The turnbuckles could have a little more bend in the hooks and I may wrap some string or twine around them to ensure they don't come loose as the wind blows the cover they're supporting. I'm impressed by the quality of this awning mounting hardware set. I ordered it to put up a triangular sun shade sail, and it has all the parts needed for that, plus an extra set, so it's suitable for mounting square or rectangular (4-cornered) sun shade sails as well. It includes the necessary screws although it's often a good idea to use longer screws when mounting these sails, especially in windy areas. The clips and carabiners are made of sturdy, thick metal and the price of this hardware set is in line with others of comparable quality. ... show more

This feels heavy in your hands, and it seems to be well made, but only time will tell. So far so good. It is pretty easy and straightforward to use. The parts that I have checked are stainless steel, which is fantastic. I like that this can be used in more than one way as well.
