The bit is great but really didn't need the extra long cutting surface but due to my inexperience cutting with a circle jig I didn't realize that . The bit worked fine but you shouldn't actually cut that much at once when using a circle jig. It doesn't work. Material was 1 1/4 " and I thought I needed a bit with that length of cutting surface. But trying to cut 1 1/4" in one pass is dangerous and difficult. You actually need to go 1/4 to 1/2" at a time so it took 3 passes. So being the shaft is the same size as the cutting bit you actually only need enough cutting surface to do what you will in one pass and the total length of the shaft to be enough to secure in router and cover the depth of the piece. ... show more

Use these to cut cabinets out of quality Baltic birch. They last just fine with great cut quality and at a fraction of the price of the high end coated bits. They work just fine for my setup and I recommend.

I ordered some that were 10$ more prior to these and they worked great. They only broke by my error.. These ones snapped at the taper as soon as it touched the aluminum. The ones I ordered first were for wood and were 100x better.. This is a trash item

Edited to add that this company has an excellent return policy and that other products we have received have been excellent. Delivered overnight. Placed in the router, touched the wood and broke immediately. Not a good value for the money, nor is it durable. The packaging was very impressive though.
