This ended up being the perfect size for our small front porch. It seems well designed and constructed and wasn’t difficult to assemble and install. Time will tell about how it holds up but if it ends up being a dog I’ll come back here and tell the story. So far we like it and are happy w/ the purchase. It will not withstand much wind so you need to be careful to roll and stow when it’s not in use. We haven’t had it out in the rain yet and I doubt that’ll happen in our case. Water resistant; possibly. Water proof: most assuredly not. If you really need WATER PROOF keep on searching.

I did need a second person to help with assembly and putting it up, but together it was fairly easy. The only thing that tripped us up was figuring out which way to roll the fabric. I wish there was a slightly shorter or more adjustable version, but because the feet are angled, I was able to put it where I wanted. I'd happily buy again.

So far so good! I was able to put this up on my own within an hour so that's pretty good. I will say that the nuts do come loose very easily, so I had to go to home Depot and get some extras since I lost one

Honestly, this thing is incredible. The instructions were simple but very easy to follow. I bought a really large size so I did need help a few times getting it put together, but only really because you need someone in each end to get it all balanced, bot because it was heavy or difficult to install. It looks really expensive and it makes a big difference on the major glare I get if my patio doors. I'm really looking forward to having this help too beat the heat all summer. Don't hesitate, you'll really be happy you spent the money on this.

When ordering a 10’ x 10’ awning, I would assume it would extend out 10’ to cover my patio. After assembling (with terrible, picture-only directions included!), I found that the lever arm will only allow the awning to extend out about 5’. Further cranking causes the front end to angle down to the ground rather than extending out the full distance. It is not functional for the size advertised. I ordered 3, and returned two. I’ll find a use for the one I assembled, even though it will not be for my planned use (only because I don’t want to disassemble it after the time it took to assemble). Very disappointed!

Bought this for my apartment balcony which gets too much sun. I was skeptical buying this but we love it! It’s a little tricky to put together. Make sure you have plenty of room. Putting it together inside a small apartment was interesting. Thanks to someone else’s review showing wooden wedges used in the eave of the house. I did the same thing. Fits perfect! Cut a 2x4 tip to create a wedge for your eave. The awning tension rods need a flat surface to push against. We love this thing. HOWEVER!!! Update: Do not use it for rain. The rain will pool in the awning and get very heavy. I’ve tried it all different angles and it still collected rain. So just use it for sun shade and you’ll be fine. Put it down when it rains. You’ll be glad you bought this. 10/10

Instructions were not clear. We had it together backwards multiple times. Took 2-3 people at times and two solid hours. Quality seems good. Still waiting to see how it holds up. Not sure if the value warrants the ridiculous assembly.
