When my old heating pad was not working correctly, I checked several different models on Amazon. My old heating pad was vinyl with a cloth cover. This one is quite updated. It is made of a soft velvety material. It has 6 heat settings and a timer with a digital display. It has a good sized cord. I don't think it gets as warm as my old one even on the 6th and highest setting, but I think that is for safety. It is a large sized pad that can reach around my back and sides. It helped me with back and sciatic pain. The pad is a nice deep blue color and the price was good.

I use a heating pad for my lower back pain. Over the years I've probably tried 20 different heating pads and so far this one puts out the most consistent heat. Other heating pads tend to turn off or lower the heat randomly, but this pad keeps consistent heat for as long as the timer is set. It doesn't get quite as hot as others, but it does the trick. The upside is it doesn't burn me either. I'm a big guy and this pad is large enough to cover my entire lower back. The controls are very easy to learn and after a day of use I can set the heat and timer without looking, which is a plus for that middle of the night pain (though the digital readout is easily read in the dark or light). It heats up quickly, cools down quickly and has 6 levels of heat, compared to most others that only have 3. It's a 2 piece unit, meaning the cord plugs into the pad, but the pad's cover isn't removable. I'm not sure whether or not it's washable. I've been using this heating pad for over a month and so far it's the best I've owned, not to mention the great price. UPDATE: After about 6 months of heavy use, my heating pad quit working yesterday. I received an E1 on the display, but no heat. Definitely not a deal breaker though, as I went to buy this heating pad again because I liked my last one so much and it still had a 20% off coupon. Still the best I've owned so far, especially for the price!

I have hypermobility ehlers-danlos which means I have alot of joint and muscle problems with alot of pain. Heating pads are an everyday part of my life. This one is my go to for quality, it nevers fails me. Its comfortable, soft and bendy to fit any joint or muscle. It didn't cost a fortune, it relieves my pain, and I can set it to shut off so I don't burn myself. The functionality is amazing.... I have several of this brand in different sizes. Another plus... They don't break the bank! A biggy... you just toss them in the washer when they need a bath!
