I have been wearing some type of hearing aid since 1997. Had everything from a $3000 pair to a $40 pair. While I was extremely happy with the more expensive ones, they have gone up in price and I just can’t see myself spending that money again. I have had various reactions to the cheaper ones and always found them a bit of a chore to get set up to work properly for my hearing loss. Out of the need to keep the price pretty low and based on reviews I took a chance on this one. It came in this morning, I opened the box, put in the battery, and put in my ear with the dome it came with already on...worked great from the start. I didn’t have to fiddle with volume, changing domes, etc. for myself, I’m very happy out of the box. I’ll wear this for a week or so and if it continues to work as it is now, I will be getting a second one for backup. Because we all have different degrees of hearing and even with mine being pretty severe, I would not hesitate to recommend to you and friends to give this one a try. ... show more

I have been wearing hearing aids for 3 years. Love the in-the-ear size of this product but the left one I've been wearing for a year still isn't functioning well. I thought it was me but now I'm wondering if it was defective. The right one works very well.

I have worn high-end hearing aids for over eight years and continue to do so daily. Make no mistake....these are appropriate only what they are advertised for: hearing amplifiers. They amplify sound. They don't modify it to an individual's specific needs. For the price, why should they? They are great for the intended purpose and are a great value. I use mine as a supplement to my regular aids, which are over-the -ear (RIC) and are a total pain with mask wearing. I've had my regular aids slingshot across parking lots when removing a mask. These in-the -ear (CIC) aids do not get in the way at all. I also use them for strenuous outdoor activity. I am a bit concerned that the lack of any reference to replacement domes and wax filters could render these units useless at some point and would give these 5 stars if replacements were readily available. This review is specifically for the red (right) unit, but applies equally to the blue (left). I do like that these are sold separately, and are therefore individually replaceable if necessary. ... show more

I got this just to try something to stop the buzzing and whining from tinnitus. After an Iron Maiden concert in the front row in the 1980’s left me not being able to hear for 2 weeks and additional trauma to ears. After severely failing the hearing test, I was told a masking device or hearing aid was recommended. I tried this specific one for the price and reading reviews. I only have had it a few days but what a difference in hearing, hearing sounds I haven’t heard in years. As for the tinnitus ringing and whining, it has showed some improvement to me. I haven’t notice the annoyance of the ringing that makes it unable to concentrate or complete simple tasks ... show more

    • Rubber tips on hearing aid can easily fall off and drop into ear canal

The rubbery tips that come with the product and designs to fit different ear canals. However they fall off the hearing aid very easily My husband has had for one week now and couldn’t find one of the rubber pieces. Long story short...it was way down in his ear canal. I thought we was going to have to go to the ear doctors to get out. Lucky I was able to get it out with a wax removal instrument. I want to return them however they do work anc goi go to be a few months before his hearing aids come in. Just be sure the tips are on when you take out of your ear. ... show more
