For the price of this unit I was very pleased. The unit came with two pair of spare ear piece covers along with a tool used to remove them. But now for the performance. They fit well in my ears and the hearing is remarkable. As I sit here I can hear the keys on this keyboard as I write. I can hear the clicking of my mouse as I use it. I tried my hearing with and without the hearing aids and no doubt a big difference. These don't have anything fancy in them (blu-tooth), just used for basic help hearing. If you out to save a little money I'd say these are fine.

I like the price point of this hearing aid. More importantly, the battery, which lasts more than a week. The packaging looks like Apple and I recommended them to other caregivers who have hard-of-hearing parents. My mom has tried the Costco ones, Philip ones, for $2100.00 -- which we had to return as well. This hearing aid, in my opinion, might have been better. The Philips, had non-rechargeable batteries, which was okay because you don't want the battery to degrade, as it does not use "lithium." But you can't turn them off and there is "an echo sound or feedback or echo" (in the throat area) which causes disorientation. You also can't turn it off without removing the batteries, even if you put it into the case. Whereas, the Audiphons earpods, can be turned off by placing them in the case. I could hear them from another room or 20 feet away. These hearing aids need to be tweaked. I like that the volume is controllable, analog... however, it would be nice to hear samples online because even though I followed the instructions and turned them off, then put them into my mom's ears, I could not adjust the volume. So I had to try to do them one at a time several times each because hearing loss was different in both ears. It would also be nice in a website or print to say that 1/4 is X level, matching a prescription or hearing test. Or, if the audio level could be controlled using Bluetooth by a mobile app -- would be perfect. You are not supposed to touch the metal leads, or there is a loud sound, which was loud. This worried me because although it may not have been audible for my mom, it certainly sounded loud on my end -- and at times, I wondered if that sound would more damage to my mom's hearing (i.e. due to all concert warnings and regular music earpods and iOS). In terms of fitting, they didn't fit my mom's ear. They would keep falling off, and the influence of her first hearing aids might have caused this problem because these were a little bigger. If my mom kept them, I would have just bought the insurance, which is also nominal in price. Last, I would recommend getting the blue/red dial/nude hearing aids instead of the more discrete nude hearing aids because we could tell which side only by placing them in the case (i.e. "L" and "R" engraved in the case). It looks obvious, but that's because of how large the photos on the website are. When you receive the earpods, they are small. Or, Audiphone could leave it as is, and maybe print a red or blue dot next to the leads that face the ear canal.

We returned this hearing device because it kept making a buzzing sound. The feedback was simply annoying. Still in search of an affordable device that works and is a good fit.

I have been wearing hearing aids for over 20 years. I needed a new st and thought these may be as good as the OTE kind, but I was not correct. I was unable to hear in any kind of noise since these are nothing but amplifiers. All sounds were amplifies and the sound was quite tinny to me. I returned them since they didn't work for me.
