I was truly surprised that these work so well! My mom is now 80 and qiuckly developed a moderate hearing loss (to the point I'm often feeling the need to yell at her, but when I did, she suddenly gets upset b/c she then hears me and asks me to stop screaming at her. It's a struggle. She lived her entire life without a hearing loss and now both her, and her older brothers also developed a hearing loss while nobody in her family ever had one to her knowledge (certainly not my grandparents, none of the kids or grandkids). These will take her getting used to and I still need to read up on whether i can set volume for her or not, how they work in group settings, and if they're Bluetooth compatible (not that she will bother, but one can try. She refused to see an audiologist even with coverage for it, so I bought two pair and this one works amazing.

Would not stay on ears. Had to continue to adjust sound. Sounds of crumbling plastic all the time. Do not like.

Definitely amplified the over 90% hearing loss in my left ear due to an existing brain tumour. I am now actually able to hear people when they speak to me in that ear instead of having to turn to my other ear when they're speaking. The colour, design, size and variety inner ear piece size options make wearing these hearing aids practically unnoticeable and very comfortable too. Although they still take some getting used to, these hearing aids are very easy to use and adjust with regard to the volume controls. A simple inconspicuous tap on it whenever a change of environment or speaker volume requires a sound adjustment. At no fault of the manufacturer/supplier, wind blowing into the hearing aid while driving with the window down or surrounding noises while watching television, poses discomfort. Although my hearing has not returned to "normal" and could not be expected to, these hearing aides are a much appreciated improvement to practically not hearing at all in my left ear.

Purchased for a family member who desperately wants to use these since they DO seem to work OK. However this person is very petite, thin and elderly so the sheer SIZE of the hearing aids is a problem. The pics show the aids inside the ear from the side view but we put them in and viewing from the front looking at some one's face, the hearing aids stick out at least 1/2" beyond the ears! We might could accept the aesthetic failure if only these would stay put in the ears! But they do not ~ they are so big and bulge out so much that they simply fall out of the ears when sitting watching TV or walking in a store. None of the various sized tips provided improve the situation. We do like how the volume is adjustable on each with just a tap.

I have never tried a hearing aid before, this one is too big for the ear. You would have to remove it to talk on the phone. If you just touch it by mistake it makes a loud whistling sound. I think one that is smaller and basically invisible would work better.
