I have had professional hearing aides before so I do know what the higher end hearing aides work like. My hearing aides I had before were over the ear style and they ended up breaking at the start of the pandemic when mask wearing all the time became a thing. Over the ear hearing aides get tangled up in the mask loops. I miss out on a lot of stuff due to my hearing loss and I wanted to try a pair of in the ear hearing aides. These do work, everything is amplified and I can hear speech much better. The issue with a generic amplifier hearing aide and ones that are specifically formatted to your hearing loss is that while everything is louder you may still not understand speech depending on your type and frequency of hearing loss. The sound quality: there is a steady static sound that you hear all the time, and the noises in the background are louder and "harsher". Sound has a tinny/echo quality to it. That is something that you will have in a generic amplifier. My only issue is that to change the volume you have to use the doll sized screwdriver to turn a dial. It makes it difficult to change volume based off of the environment you are in. I can't attest if the working time of 35 hours on a charge is correct because I haven't been able to keep them in my ears for that long yet. It is normal to only be able to tolerate hearing aides for short times after a long time without. It can be hard to suddenly hear everything.

Given real hearing aids from a medical professional start around $5k, these are great for someone with minor/mild hearing loss and won't set you back thousands at seventy bucks. The quality of the sound isn't as crisp or clear as real hearing aids, but they do increase the volume and my father didn't notice any distortion of sound. I think these are great to have when your hearing aids are missing, or being repaired if you have moderate or more severe hearing loss, but these do not filter out background noice and can't be fine tuned to your specific type of hearing loss like the medical grade hearing aids can. I will say at this price, I am impressed and would recommend these knowing about any limitations if you are wanting to try a lower grade hearing aid before going all in on a high end medical grade set.

This hearing amplifier will increase the hearing volume. The key to any amplifier is to first find the correct dome that will seal to your ear. Then to adjust the volume low to higher until both the sound is comfortable and their is no howling. Both of which takes some trial and error. I personally found this mini amplifier larger than I thought. It is very noticeable in the ear. This aid does not use filters that can be changed to keep wax actually out of the aid itself. It did work ok by increasing the volume. Similar to others of this type.
