I'll be returning this item after writing the review and ordering another brand. The plastic clip broke after just a few days (less than a week's use). I looked at the parts of the broken clip and there's a small part that takes a lot of pressure, more than such a small piece of plastic can take. I am glad I didn't buy a 2-pack of these or I would soon have two broken clips, I'm sure. There as nothing about the plastic that looked like there was a fault in manufacturing of the clip, like a bubble in the plastic that would weaken the plastic. This is a great idea but poor implementation and poor design of the clip. The way the clip works seems backwards, too. Instead of pressing down on the clip with your thumb and finger to open the jaw of the clip, you have to pull apart the one side to get the jaw open, then you squeeze gently with your thumb and finger to close it. This is backwards to how an alligator (crocodile) clip works. I've never seen this sort of action on a clip. And try to do this behind your head. It's near impossible to work the clip. If the seller responds with a replacement and it performs better, I will update this review with more stars for customer service. Hearing aids cost over $2500 each. Lost and luckily found one or both aids 4 times first week wearing. Mostly while removing mask. Crazy stressful until found. This hearing aid keeper has 3 sizes of clear elastic bands to hold the hearing aids. Smallest of the 3 for my behind ear aids works great. Still need to be careful when removing mask as mask can tow hearing aid off your ears but at least they tend to stay with the keeper. If no mask these work very well. Until hearing aid manufacturers put a physical attachment point on each hearing aid so that the elastic is not needed this is the best hearing aid loss prevention I have found. ... show more

My hearing aids always have problems when I put on or take off glasses or a mask. Usually it is just that the piece that sits behind my ear gets dislodged but the part in my ear stays there. But sometimes the whole hearing aid comes off. I lost one the other day that way without realizing it, but it was found and returned to me. Falling out like that it could easily have been permanently lost or stepped on and destroyed. There is no graceful way to wear this. The stretchy bands go around the large part of the hearing aid exactly where the rocker switch is for volume control. Not only does this effect the volume, it’s stretching out the bands. No one wants to loose a hearing aid so this is better than nothing. Will keep searching for a better idea. ... show more

The clip on the lanyard is plastic and also the type that you need stronger fingers and dexterity to pull up a tab to open the “mouth”. Slide the mouth onto the shirt material, then press down the tab to lock the mouth onto the material. Seniors may have a hard time with this, especially with arthritis. It is great to have options to attach the lanyard to the hearing aides. For someone elderly putting on hearing aides with the lanyard attached gets confusing - it is best a two person process. It is best to unclip the lanyard from the silicone loops. Place the loops on the hearing aides and then adjust the hearing aide to each ear.
