I assembled by myself. Took about an hour. Pretty easy setup. Would have been easier with a helper, but I got it done. Follow the instructions and do it in order and it's easy. Make sure to assemble where you are going to put it or at least move it to the desired location before adding the sand and water. Once the sand and water are in there it is not easy to move. Definitely a 2 man job. It does have wheels, but it is 300lbs of dead weight. I feel comfortable that it will not blow away. It is very sturdy and provides lots of shade. Easy to put up and down. Is a little more difficult for people shorter than 5'8" I would say. The crank is high.

I received the Grand Patio 12' Cantilever within 5 days of ordering. (earlier than estimated) It was carefully packed and all parts were present. The umbrella assembly was easy. It took about 30 minutes to follow what I thought were explicit instructions with great diagrams. I filled the base with sand and water up to around 250 lbs, and had a yard worker help me lift the umbrella onto the stand. The construction was sturdy and almost commercial grade. It's mechanical function is smooth and the Sunbrella material on the umbrella is a huge plus. Also, was glad to see that it is made so you can easily change out the canopy if it is worn or damaged. I also ordered the optional protective cover to maintain the life of the umbrella during winter months. All in all, I am completely happy with the product, and would not hesitate to order another one from this company,

The umbrella itself is made well and pretty easy to assemble. What I know now is that cantilever umbrellas in general (the shade part) move around in the wind (even slight wind). It is annoying and besides strapping the shade down, nothing can change that. I would have opted for regular umbrellas had I known before purchasing. Like I said, this is most cantilevers, not just this one.

It comes with the stand, which most of the ones that I saw for the same price did not come with one. So that was a definite plus. It was a great value for our money.

I'm very happy with the quality and look of the set. The only thing that was an issue was that when sitting on the chairs, the cushions slipped out of position. One minute you'd be sitting up straight, maybe reading a book, the next minute you'd realize you're nearly in a reclined position because the seat cushion started slipping off the chair. It was a real problem until I attached a piece of denim cotton fabric to the seat of the chair. The piece was about the same measurement as the cushion. Now, when the cushion is in place on the chair frame and you sit down, it no longer slips out. The denim fabric created enough friction to keep the cushion in place. My wife and I are so impressed with the chair set that we are thinking about buying another one. Four chairs is better than two!

I ordered 2 of these umbrellas exactly alike in March 2023. Assembly wasn't easy but the directions were good. One umbrella works perfectly - opens easily, provides excellent shade over a large area. And it's a very pretty umbrella. The other umbrella, just like this one, is defective. Opening the umbrella is almost impossible. The turn handle to open it is very hard to turn and really takes muscle. I am short and have to stand on something to get enough leverage on the handle. I contacted the seller and provided information. I have heard nothing from the seller. I was hoping for information on how to correct this problem. A few days later, Amazon contacted me about my issue and again I provided information. I have heard nothing from Amazon! So I would say, this umbrella is the luck of the draw. If you receive one that works correctly, it's bliss. If you receive one with a defect, don't expect any help from the seller or Amazon. Update: the seller did contact me and offered a refund or replacement. I decided on the replacement which I received
