4.5 stars This really is a great heating pad. It heats up really fast. The heat is evenly distributed. The weight does not shift (never had a weighted one so I was worried) because the granules are stitched in small triangle pockets. It’s nice to be able to use this on my shoulder without having to hold it tight to get good heat. My only complaint is that the material is so soft and silky. Normally that would be no problem at all, but when you add the weight it makes it a tad slippery. The first night I used it I slept on my back and had it laying on my stomach area and when I woke up it had slipped almost off of me. I am paraplegic and don’t move much in bed. I have to actually sit up to turn over so it was the weight that allowed it to slip off of my stomach. All in all I’m very pleased with it. My daughter is more so pleased with it as she has absconded with it so I’m off to buy another one. But I think I will buy one what is not weighted and just use the weighted one when I need relief on my shoulder. ... show more

Wow. I mean, WOW. I LOVE this heating pad. It is so soft, the slight weight is so cozy comfy, and the settings are amazing!! Heat 1-12 (and 12 is HOOOTTT so be careful!! My menstrual cramps are brutal and I still only use lvl 8). Timer has 2 hr increments from 1-12 hrs, AND a 24 hour setting. No issues with it, the plug at the blanket can come undone when I toss and turn too much but has only happened twice in the past several months and that’s probably a good thing. Family have used it and all purchased it right after for themselves, it really is such a great heating pad/blanket! Ah, the only thing is the heat isn’t so evenly distributed. It tends to come mostly from the center and one side tends to be hotter than the flip side. That’s actually been helpful for me, but not sure if it’s intentional and is worth mentioning. ... show more

BEST HEATING PAD I HAVE EVER PURCHASED! It's so soft! And long! I keep it on the low setting for my chihuahua. MIND YOU it does have bead-like things inside, in case your pup is destructive, it would be dangerous if ingested! (I know this is not for pets specifically but that's why I bought mainly)

Pros: High quality, soft to the touch, flexible and cuddly, very warm, quick to heat. Tiny glass beads sewn inside to add the perfect weight so it conforms to me and stays put. Yes, the beads are sewn into the quilted texture so they will stay put and not shift - which I love! The plushy texture also helps it stay where I put it - even when my legs are tilted down as I use it as a lap warmer at my computer. It's like my new favorite comfort blankie! Cute color, well stitched quilted pattern. Same color and plush texture on both sides, unlike others I looked at. The simple to use temp controller is nice to the touch, smooth around the back. It's like the people who designed this knew that every detail matters, just like me. I'm very tactile, I'm always touching my things, there are no rough edges and no weird textures. Just lovely all over. Heats fast! Like turn it on and yep it's ready just like that. No waiting. It's already a little bit cozy when it is off, simply because of the plushy heavy texture, so it gives comfort during the ~20 seconds it takes to heat up. In other words, it's never cold to the touch. The *heating* pad part is just what you'd expect. It has heat settings up to 12, I usually go up to 8 or 9. I always want to have more than I'll need, so this is important that I don't sit on 12 all the time. I want 12 to be "too" hot - so I can have something to look forward to on those coldest of days, if need be. This pad does the trick! There is a timer. It seems simple enough. I don't use that part. I just turn this cozy blankie of a heating pad (I'm really forming an affection for it) off when I walk away, because it really heats up instantly if I need to return to my computer; no worries about keeping it running while I'm away from it, for me. The cord connection on mine is nice and very tight! I can tell it will never wiggle loose, no worries there at all. I flip this heating pad on and off of my lap every time I get up from my computer. The cord stays put. I had to use "pickle-jar-opening-strength" to plug it together, the first time - which is a good thing.
