    • Overall a fairly decent chair, but lacking in a few areas.

For the price, it was a nice chair and feels pretty solid besides a couple of things that bother me but may not bother others. The good: - Chair feels pretty high quality - Spins and glides easily - Easy assembly - Leans back really far but also locks into place for sitting up with little leanback - fairly comfortable The bad: - Pneumatic piston started giving up after having it for only 5 months (I only weigh 180 lbs and use it for no more than 4 hours most days off the week.). The chair will start to fall 1/2 an inch after only about 15 minutes. Eventually, it gets to the point where it's half of the full height around an hour later. - armrests are not adjustable and that started to get annoying when I realized they were a bit too high for me (partially my fault for not looking at that before buying but still could have been something they added. Couldn't cost much more.) - no other levers for anything other than locking the position and raising/lowering the chair. - the warranty period sucks - there is no headrest which causes me to have to slump down a bit further if I want to rest my head when leaning back during gaming. Overall: I'd like it if the piston wasn't failing already, love it if the piston wasn't failing, the armrests were adjustable and there was a head rest and would absolutely love it if all of the above with a lifetime warranty. Either I got a defective piston unit or they used a super cheap, extremely low quality piston to make the chair more affordable, which is something I would argue as one of the more important components of a chair. Update: I emailed the seller and they are sending me a replacement piston because mine is most likely faulty. ... show more

I've had 1 year around 2 years and there seems to be signs of wear and tear but as long as you're not jumping up and down on it. It should last quite a while. The wear in on the leather.

I bought a set of these chairs for my board game table because I wanted comfortable chairs for everyone during long games of Through the Ages and such. The price was right and the reviews, though mixed, were overall, positive so I bought them. Pros: The cares came well packaged and none had any damage. For the price, these are pretty nice chairs. They look good and the stitching is consistent and clean. They are reasonably comfortable but not great and I would not want to use this as my desk chair where I work 8+ hours a day, sitting in it. It's fine for the occasional use they will get on game days. They did include washers and instructions (some people said these were not included, so beware). Instructions were easy to understand. Cons: The chairs do not have the finest fit and assembling them was not fun but if you go slow and don't tighten things down prematurely, you'll get there. I estimated about 20 minutes to assemble one chair. The arms were challenging to get attached and the arms are also my least favorite aspect of the chair, the way they curve around offers little actual support that I would certainly want from a desk chair. I'm considering removing the arms entirely, since these are used at a gaming table but I'm concerned that the arms provide needed support for the back of the chair and it might bend or break without them. The chairs are limited to adjusting seat height and tension for leaning back. The arms, depth, height are all fixed and unmovable. The seat depth is adequate but I'm 6' 1" and would like more depth. Again, I go back to the price and realize I can't expect these to equal a $400+ desk chair that I'm accustomed to. Overall: These are perfectly adequate chairs for my needs and I'm pleased with the quality for the price. As I said earlier, I would not be happy with this chair for daily, full-time use. The padding, support and lack of adjustments would not fit my needs. As occasional use chairs, they are what I wanted. ... show more
