  • Good bit, aggressive cut
The media could not be loaded. A spiral bit was recommended by a YouTube project video to cut a dado in the sides of a box to make a lid. I considered an expensive one, but thought that this might do. I can see now that I probably could have used one of my straight bits and gotten similar results. There's nothing wrong with this bit, it cuts through the soft popular that I'm using with no problem. Because it is an up-cut bit and I'm cutting a dado, the edge tends to be rough. I would have used a down-cut spiral, but didn't want the wood to "walk" on me due to the tendency to "lift." I found that I could get a smoother cut with this up-cut bit by simply slowing down my feed rate (not the rpm). The bit is sharp enough that I didn't experience burning. The quality of the bit seems excellent for the price, I've only just begun using it so I can't speak to durability. But the edges are polished and sharp. The bit spins true and the top part of the cutter produces a nice flat surface at the bottom of a dado. And, yes, as my video shows, it is Carbide. ... show more

  • Sharp, super useful, great price
I got this to use on a project where I am cutting circles through solid wood (1" and 2") and it is working well. I built a jig for my router and when I take multiple passes at it. I ordered the upcut bit in order to clear out the sawdust and it seems like a good plan. I am happy with this at under $15 and recommend it. ... show more

  • Great End Mills for Wood
This end mill arrived well packaged and on time. They come packed in a holder that is going to be useful for storage. These end mills are sharp and cut through rock hard maple with little trouble and a nice clean cut. I used them for slots and grooves and got good, clean edges. Recommended!

  • Amazing!
I wanted a router bit that i could use as a scroll saw. I have only used the 1/8 inch bit so far and i am convinced that my scroll saw will not be needed again. My first job was cutting a Bigfoot silhouette out if an old, dried out piece of 1/4 inch plywood. It took about a fifth of the time to do the job as it would have with a scroll saw or saber saw, and the cut was clean with little chipping. Awesome tool! ... show more

  • seems bullet proof
I used this bit in my plunge router to 'hollow out' several disks that would be glued up into a bowl blank. This bit cut a nice clean edge in thick wood. Pictured here are 6/4 cherry, 4/4 maple, and 4/4 sapele. Of course, I did it in several passes, but ended up with a nice clean, crisp edge. I never give 5 stars. And the end of the cuts, on 6 such disks, the bit looks new. ... show more

  • Good value for the money
Does exactly what it says on the box. Good value for the money in Shaper Origin and Shapeoko CNCs
