🚀 Abunda's Overview

This is our summary and key points to consider based on customer reviews.

The gaming chair under review here splits the impressions of two users. One user finds the chair fairly comfortable with good back support but dislikes the flat, leather seat stating it could lead to backfire with flatulence, and it retains smells. They also complained about the heat, explaining that sticking to the chair on hot days is unpleasant. The other user praises the back support and adjusts to the initial discomfort on the thigh for the sake of aesthetics, although the armrests seem to become loose over time.

Pros

  • 🪑 Good back support and comfort in various positions
  • 💁‍♂️ Aesthetic appeal, fits well with gaming set-ups
  • 🔄 Adjustable pillows and reclining mechanism offer flexibility
  • 💪 Chair is sturdy post-assembly

Cons

  • 😓 Issues with heat on hot days, resulting in stickiness
  • 🧽 Retains odors due to leather material
  • 🔧 Some assembly difficulties and armrests may become loose over time
  • 😣 Initial discomfort due to metal bars hidden beneath side cushioning

Should I Buy It?

If aesthetics and good back support are your main criteria, this gaming chair might work for you. However, be aware of the potential problems highlighted: stickiness on hot days, odor retention, and a potentially uncomfortable seating surface. Overall, it offers a mix of comfort and style, but could be improved.

  • Comfy upgrade for my desk setup – white looks clean and holds up great
Color: White
Picked up this Homall white gaming chair to replace my old beat-up office seat, and it's a solid win for the money. The high back with headrest and lumbar pillow gives good support during long gaming or work sessions – no more back aches after hours at the computer. PU leather is thick and comfy (doesn't get sticky in dry Utah winters), white color stays looking fresh without showing every speck of dust. Reclines smooth to almost flat (90-180°), rocks a bit, and the height adjust/gas lift feels sturdy (holds my weight no problem). Assembly was straightforward – about 30-45 mins, instructions clear enough. Wheels roll quiet on the floor, swivel is smooth. For a budget chair, this thing feels way better than expected – perfect for gaming, WFH, or just chilling. Highly recommend the white one if you want something that pops without being too flashy. ... show more

  • Great chair, and comfortable!
Color: White
Very sturdy, easy to put together. Just because to put the reclining handle and the adjustable handle on the right side. Worth the purchase

  • tll;dr pretty great chair you just have to give it some time to break in.
I was browsing for a new chair and I wanted something to match the aesthetic of my office currently. I'm a young college student so these racing style chairs appeal to me. The stark black and blue leather really drew my eye considering my whole set-up is black and blue. I'm a video editor as well as gaming for my hobby, so I'm at the computer a lot and my old $60 chair just wasn't cutting it anymore. I saw this chair was #1 Best Seller, had multiple good reviews not only on Amazon but on other websites as well, so I ordered it. I'll outline some feature of the chair below if interested. Setup: I got the package and everything was rather simple to put together the hex bolts were a little bit bigger than any Alan key I had so I had to use the small included Alan key but you can use a normal screw driver for the screws. The design is a little flawed and it some parts jam up the Alan key only allowing you to do 180 turns rather than 360, taking a little longer than necessary. Some of the fabric bits around the holes covers up and is really stubborn to move out of the way, hold the piece, and screw all at the same time. So I resorted to breaking at a hobby knife and just removing some fabric around the holes myself (it will be covered up 100% with the part). When I was done it looked and felt sturdy. The first time I used the reclining feature it made a loud snap but nothing broke. The wheels make it a little hard to roll, they are this soft plastic/rubbery texture and I guess that is nice for not scratching or drifting around but you won't be able to slide around your office that smoothly or easily. Back Support: Probably the best part about this chair is I can sit a lot of different ways and my back always feels wonderful. Whether I'm upright, leaning forward, or reclining their is always adjustments I can do to the pillows and reclining mechanism to support my back. I don't have knots in my back a lot anymore or those really tender spots you have to ask your significant other to work out or using a heating pad for. However sitting in it for the first time wasn't as joyous experience I was expecting. Seat Support/First Time Sitting in it: From the pictures it looked like the seat was going to be the best part with all those different sized/angled cushions. I thought my butt was going to have a nice break from my cheap worn out chair and have support from multiple different directions, not true. While it did feel better on the butt (than my cheaper chair) it killed my thighs. See, the two little side cushions on the left and right underneath the arm rest aren't really cushions...it just a cover for two metal beams on either side wrapped in some foam. Sitting how you normally would in a chair will kill your thighs and make them go to sleep. I couldn't sit normally for the first day and decided to just try laying back in the chair in the recliner mode and watch some videos. The recliner mode is very comforting (I almost fell asleep) and very stable, I never feel like I'm going to fall even while the back is angled backwards and I'm leaning back with my feet up. The next day I needed to get a bunch of editing work done so I needed to find a solution and way to break in the chair fast. My dudes, their is no room for spreading your legs if you know what I mean...so sitting normal was a little uncomfortable...I tried moving my butt forward some and putting my shoulders back further and that helped but after a while those metal bars just started digging into the side of my legs again. I needed a damn solution because I just thought no computer chair I ever buy is going to be perfect, no point in returning this one, just find a solution...I put an old Serta memory foam pillow down and that helped but my weight made it shrink over time and the metal bars came back digging into me. I added a folded up small blanket on top of that and it helped with some cushioning but I couldn't get both items to line up perfectly with the back so the back of my butt was sliding down into the crack and pushing everything toward the front and off the chair regularly. I moved the small pillow that was meant for the lower back support and slid it down into the crack but it didn't feel right and my lower back wasn't getting the support that I loved when I originally sat down in it. So I found a small square couch pillow and used that instead. Finally, everything was set...I couldn't feel those harsh metal bars sticking into my legs, I had a nice little booster seat, and the back rest felt amazing on my always sore back. I edited all day trying to get as much as I could done before my tailbone started hurting (has happened on every chair I've owned). I did this for the next 3 days and then decided that it had to be somewhat broken in now and I should try it out. I found a comfortable sitting position with my butt a little forward on the seat and shoulders back a bit. The neck pillow is right below my hairline and the back support pillow is at about the middle of my back. The seat cushions allow me to sit for longer periods of time without having to get up and walk around as much (even though I probably should). Then when I want to kick my feet up and watch some videos I can do that with this chair too. Complaints/Conclusion: The arm rests are already a little loose and jiggly but they are pretty useless unless at a small desk, the height of the chair isn't that great (it's very low to the ground at it's highest setting), the side cushions aren't actually cushions and just their aesthetically, I think filling those with cushioning and upping the price some would make this chair a 5-star product for me. ... show more

  • Very comfortable and strongly recommend.
Color: White
some assembly required but not difficult. It is very comfortable. So much better than my last chair. Seat a back are more padded, wider and ergonomically designed to fit your body. it is actually better than I was expecting. Strongly recommend this chair.

  • Good quality but minor engineering issue!
Chair is good quality and easy to assemble. The only issue was with the arm rest one of them was broken off. It appears that the screws that hold them on are tightened really tight and when the plastic was subjected to freezing temperatures it contracted and the plastic could not handle the added stress and pulled away from the base. Instead of going through the hassle i just ordered new chair pads from Amazon for like $22 and they are padded so that makes it better. See picture attached. ... show more

  • We, as a society, need to rethink chairs like this
Color: White
Look, whoever started the trend of leather gaming chairs needs a stern talking-to. This might apply to all gaming chairs (I play games but wouldn't consider myself a serious gamer si IDK), but there are some serious problems with a chair like this: 1. Support Look, I've sat in a million offices with $1,000 chairs designed by the world's leading back-support engineers and even those hurt your back after a while. Sitting fully upright like Queen Elizabeth for 8 straight hours will do that. That being said, I haven't had any issues with this chair in that regard. Except for the pillow. The freaking pillow. This chair comes with this weird strap-on leather pillow that goes... somewhere?! It can go behind your back, but then your spine is forced to make an inverted C-shape that no human being can possibly enjoy. You can also strap it around the top like the headrest of a cheap dental seat but it literally does nothing for comfort or your neck. 2. Farting Okay, okay, HEAR ME OUT ON THIS. This chair features a flat leather seat. Think that through. There's no mesh. No cloth. Your ass is literally suction-cupped to this leather panel. Where do you think that fart is going the second you feel the urge? If you're a gamer and are spending multiple hours in front of a screen, there's a big chance, you're gonna have to fart at some point. Do you peel your sweaty butt from the synthetic leather surface to let one rip? Or do you take your chances of a full-on backfire while seated? And that's only the start of it. This seat is made of a material that, smell-wise, remembers EVERYTHING. I kid you not, I clean this seat every day because of how bad it can smell. If my cat jumps up on it, it smells like kitty litter (bad girl!). If I fart on it, it smells like farts. If I drop a cheeto between my legs IT SMELLS LIKE CHEETOS. And these smells linger indefinitely. If you don't regularly clean this chair, it will start to smell like everything you've ever sat on. 3. Heat If you're a human being and sweat when you're hot, ohhh boy, are you in for a treat. The adhesive properties of this faux-leather seat are honestly impressive. I haven't done this but I 100% believe if you sat on this chair naked for 20 seconds, you could pick it up with you and walk away with it stuck to your back. In the winter it was fine, honestly. But once summer hit and I stared wearing shorts again and, Gods forbid, I didn't wear a shirt?! Game. Over. I was sitting upright like Queen Elizabeth all on my own in a desperate attempt to keep my back away from my own chair. And, without a comfortable black, you're sitting on a freaking stool. So be ready to crank the AC lest you become part of the chair like old Boostrap Bill stuck on the side of The Flying Dutchman IN CONCLUSION: It's fine. Do I miss my old chair that completely broke? Yeah. Does this one look good? Yeah! Does it support my back and keep me 100% comfortable? NOPE. Should we, as a society, rethink chairs like this? Yes, I think so. ... show more
