They're comfortable and easy to assemble but the arm rests seem to break sooner than expected. I'm around 220 lbs and that may be a big part of why these fail for me so I'm not going to complain about the company or quality of the product. Usually it's the arm rest that fails/breaks in my case, not the seat or the back. You may have better luck if you weigh less than me? Love the looks, the rocker feature and the fact I can spin around in this chair.

I have a really bad back - I had horrific scoliosis that I had a major fusion for (essentially my entire spine is fused) and in spite of promises it would help me, it's made the pain far worse. I am only 28 and I cannot work or do a lot. My experience in getting a chair since I moved has been a bumpy one. Sight unseen and untested, I bought a used Aeron. It was in perfect condition, but I absolutely HATED it. I sold it and bought something else - but the other chair came both broken and missing parts. I went to an Office Depot and didn't find anything I really loved, so I came back to Amazon and ended up going with this Furmax, which is what I was originally going to get instead of the Aeron anyway. For 60 dollars, it's a five star chair. For any more than that, it's a three. I'm rating it according to how it functions, not its price, as I feel that is FAR more helpful. Especially because Amazon works off a star system and not everyone reads every review. And prices also fluctuate. The good: - Attention to detail and packaging - the hardware was in its own cardboard and plastic sealed container, which was nice. It also included a thorough inventory list, instructions, and even a link to an assembly video. - Very easy assembly. It was very straight forward, and I managed with no help. The hardest part was getting the back to align with the seat - but it wasn't that hard. - Back support. I don't know how they did it, but the back support on this is SUBLIME. Even more expensive chairs I've had don't come close. Wonderful job there. - Quality. I can't speak for durability yet, as I just finished putting this chair together, but the screws all seemed to be of good quality, and the chair itself is solid. I don't worry about it breaking or anything under me. The bad: - The seat itself is just plain uncomfortable. It's a very hard seat and I'm likely going to have to get a cushion or pillow for it. Not something I should have to do with a brand new chair. - The arm rests. They aren't at all adjustable - which I KNEW upon purchase, but I didn't expect it to matter quite as much as it does. But it matters. Especially for shorter people, like me. They are just too high. I am considering taking them off. It's a little funny that they are this high - as if the chair was built for a much taller person (I'm 5'4 on a good day) - when the back fits me perfectly and doesn't seem like it would fit someone taller. They are also VERY hard. The padding is a joke and doesn't help at all. I also wish they were a little farther apart. - Height. As I said, I'm only 5'4, and even with the seat adjusted as short as it can be, my feet don't really sit comfortably on the floor when I'm sitting up and back as I should be. It's not HORRIFIC but I'm probably going to have to get a foot rest so I have proper stability. All things considered, I would recommend this chair - at $60. Any more than that, you should pass. For $60, you aren't going to find anything that's better, and just might end up with something worse. It's not perfect, but it's a decent chair at a good price, and it will suffice for my needs for the time being. I don't see this chair as being a permanent solution - I'm planning on getting something else in about 4 months unless something changes, but it's a good buy for the short term.

***Update III*** Never heard back from Furmax about having been sent a chair that had two right-handed arm rests. Have had the chair less than 2 months and as expected, the incorrect/faulty parts they sent have caused premature failure. The right-hand arm rest being installed on the left-hand side was not able to align perfectly. I have been using extra care getting into and out of the chair hoping Furmax would send the correct replacement part. Last night I notice the left-hand side of the chair was feeling rather wobbly, upon inspection I found the bolt holes cracked/failing. I am extremely disappointed in the customer service, or complete lack there-of that I have received. I will be contacting Amazon and requesting information on my options at this point. DO NOT BUY FROM FURMAX. They are a terrible seller to do business with. **Update II** Since receiving the email requesting photos and then sending them the photos - there has been ZERO contact from Furmax. Screw this. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. Ever. Cheap or not, they take your money, send you faulty items and then disappear on you. I tried to be patient and reasonable with them. All I wanted was the correct parts for the chair I bought. I would gladly have even sent them the extra/incorrect parts I got back. But weeks later and nothing. I deeply regret doing business with this retailer. If they do not at least respond and tell me why they have declined to correct their error then I will report the issues to Amazon directly. I would rather not let a dishonest and shady company keep my money. Update, still no response from the seller/manufacturer about the incorrect arm rest. I sent them a direct message through Amazon today. Hoping that gets their attention more than my review did. Dropping the stars from 3 to 1 in the mean-time. Will continue to update as time goes by. The chair was delivered, assembled and placed in my office all before I got the Amazon Item Delivered text. This in spite of the fact that it shipped with two right-hand arms. First thing I noticed was the arms were packaged differently as you can see in the pictures. Quick inspection showed both arms were exactly identical, rather than mirrored. Getting the left side to fit took some work to get the bolts to line up because of this this. The chair works and is comfortable but the pieces dont fit exactly flush on the left. It is probably a little weaker than it should be. I am hoping the seller can send me a left handed arm rest. Other than that though there are no stand out issues to mention. Shipping took a bit longer than I had hoped for but this time of year (the holidays) tend to slow things down. No big deal there, still got the chair in reasonable time. Quality is about what you should expect for a desk chair in this price range. Stitching is there and seems to be solid, but the seems are uneven and wavy as if too much and too little material was used in places. Minor refinements like these are not the sort of stuff you should be expecting in a sub-hundred dollar office chair though. The pleather material that most of the chair is covered in is very soft and not too plasticky to the touch. However it's the kind of soft touch that you know is not going to hold up well for long. Even to average use. I dont expect the quality of this chair to stand up well against the test of time. Again though, if you are looking at this price range - you should have long ago accepted that this is not the last chair you will buy. If you want outstanding 5 star quality then expect to pay 5-star quality price. When taken for what it is; a cheap but comfortable office chair... then this chair is a great deal. Great price, as expected quality and good customer service/support. I would not hesitate to give this chair 5 stars as a functional, comfortable and affordable option. However delivering a product with two right-hand arms and no left is the kind of fail that will kill stars and keep me from recommending this seller/product to anyone else. I would caution anyone in the future that plans to buy this chair, look long and hard elsewhere. I will be happy if I get a solid year of use from this chair before seeing significant issues with both form and function. But that's what product warranties are for. PS I had seen a few reviews mention issues with the hardware backing out/getting loose. I was happy to see there was a small dab of blue loctite on all the hardware I received. However to really fix this issue and to help increase the strength/durability of this chair, extra washers really are needed. Especially for the arm rests. I will update this review as time goes by with my experiences. The big thing for me is the left-hand arm rest. I am hopeful the manufacturer/seller can send me the proper pieces as well as new hardware. Use the bolts are installed the loctite makes them a LOT harder to reuse. And since loctite once broken cant be reused, I am hoping they send new bolts with the arm-rest.
