UPDATE: Despite being filled with water and a tank below, this tipped over in moderate wind. The top shield bent which is ok, since you can replace that. But now it only operates on high and makes a ridiculous noise while running. Waste of money. Either figure out how to secure it from tipping or get something else. ______________________________ I bought this because our dog has a higher tolerance for cold than I do and likes to enjoy fall and spring evenings on the deck. Assembly was pretty straightforward and didn't take too long. Lighting was also fairly easy on first try. Within about 10 minutes on medium, the paint on the unit just below the metal mesh area caught fire and burned. I'd read that this was a problem and was hoping to find a unit where that part of the heater wasn't painted. Unfortunately, it appears that the company stopped making them with that portion as stainless a few years ago; now all but the heating portion is painted if you get a colored unit. Since this paint catches fire and burns and then doesn't look very good, you'd think they go back to not having paint near the heating unit. But nope. I'm disappointed that my new heater, within 10 minutes, has burn marks on it. Heat output is ok. I have it on medium and that's ok, but can really only feel it a few feet from the unit when you're sitting. High is better, of course, but burns more gas. Other than that, for the most part, the unit looks good (other than the now burned portion). Decent buy for the money. If I have to replace, I'd probably go more expensive.

I just finished putting this together and am very pleased with the ease of assembly and the thing can crank out some heat. Props to the manufacturer for taking the time to write clear instructions and to label everything well. I'm not the handiest sort, but I can follow instructions. I read them carefully all the way through and took my time. It took me closer to two hours than one, but I didn't rush and I had two phone calls in the middle of it and freshly washed clothes to hang on the line. I got it done with the help of a step stool so I would have the height needed to install the reflector without tilting the heater. Really, if I can put this thing together, you can too. Don't pay $80 extra to have that done. Oh, I did ask my neighbor, he of the propane grill, to come over and install the tank. He did. It took him less than a minute. I am sure that the next time I need to replace the tank, I can do it, too. So, if you have any amount of reading skills and patience, fear not. You can assemble this thing and enjoy the heat it throws out and enjoy your outdoor spaces year round, or until the mosquitoes return.

This is the coolest heater I've ever seen!!! When I received it, one of the parts was faulty...not complete...the company went OUT OF THEIR WAY to make sure I had the replacement delivered NEXT DAY so I could use the heater for a weekend party. Everyone agrees that it is "darling" and that they've never seen an aqua colored heater before. It puts out great heat and I've enjoyed many hours using it already as Utah hits the cold temps of fall into winter. Thanks very much to Well Traveled Living for their EXCELLENT customer support!

Love love love these! They PACK heat and are so eye catching. Not one person has walked into our backyard and not commented on our heat lamps. We saw them at a brewery in downtown SD and have been looking for them to come back in stock ever since. You will not regret this purchase! We got covers to keep them safe when not in use. For reference, we live in CA and needless to say do not have extreme weather - for us out here they’re perfect

Held an outdoor Thanksgiving Dinner, 10 folks at the table, This heater disperses enough heat to cover the table, works outstanding for lanai's and moderate size outdoor living areas. For the money it is 5 star, and the color options are awesome! Easy to assemble and use!

We put it together and were very disappointed that it didn't pass the leak test. We even asked a more experienced person to double check it for us. Still leaking. We called the company, and called, and called and they were not responsive at all. Unless we can get them to replace the regulator, this was a total waste of money.

We purchased this heater for our patio and love it! We purchased this heater for the color which goes perfectly with our patio. It looks great and it well built. We live in a very windy area and this heater has stood up to very strong winds. It did fall over one time but that was in approximately 70-80 mph winds. It got a little banged up but works just as well as before the fall. The dents look like they could easily be hammered out. It's a beautiful heater and we would recommend it.
