The size chart didn't make any sense so I just kinda guessed. My 16 year old is 5'6", about 110-115lbs, and normally wears small to medium size juniors clothes. I chose small for this dress and it fits perfect. Nice material, and the top elastic part is snug enough to not feel like it's falling down, but not snug enough to be uncomfortable. I really like the built in slip.

Ok. This dress really relies on your own personal preference. I normally wear a Med, but I usually purchase a Lg on Amazon. And the majority of the time, it works out for me. But this Lg ran a little too big for me. Its also longer, & poofier than I like. It reached my knees. It seems like it would look cuter a little shorter in length. But like I said about preference, if you like that type of dress, than sizing up would be perfect for you. Also, there was a spot on the front of the dress, when it arrived. So I returned this dress, & requested a size Med. I still like the dress, & I'll probably be purchasing more colors for the Spring. Depending on the fit of the Med. I should be receiving it by 10/20/2020. I'll try it on, & update you all later. ****Update: I just received the new dress in the mail, & it fits perfectly! In the last picture, I'm wearing the Med. So I normally wear a Med, & the dress is a Med. So it all worked out! I'm happy.
