I recently bought a New Tesla 2026 Model Y. It’s my first time driving electrical vehicle. I am so excited and love it. I purchased Tesla - Wall Connector Level 2 Hardwired Electric Vehicle (EV Charger) from BestBuy for $450 plus tax and had professionals installed in my garage. Duke Energy provides rebates of up to $1,117 for installation costs through its EV charger installation rebate and I used it and got the rebate approved, so the installation is free. However, I need to travel and usually stay in AirBnB or friend’s house and would like to have an on-the-go charger but don’t want to spend too much money. I searched Amazon and found ELEGRP Level 2 EV Charger would be a good fit. This charger is designed for Nissan/Ford EVs, not for Tesla. I consulted with the seller who quickly recommended me to order a J1772 to Tesla Charger Adapter for $18, so I decided to take a chance. It took me 4 days to receive the charger with free shipment. I am impressed with the quality of this charger. It has a nice case with handle to carry for travel. It has a wall mount for home use too. The cable is 25 ft long with very sturdy material, featuring 40-amp charging, and 1–12 hour delay timer to schedule charging during off-peak night hours. I’ve been using this for several travels, and I’m thoroughly impressed and didn’t feel much difference with my home Tesla charger when charging to 80%. It has consistently performed well and exceeded my expectations.

Perfect ev charger for my Kia Sportage. Wired inside the garage and the charger length is plenty long to travel over my 3rd bay garage door to the second bay garage door, where we park the Kia. We wired it with 50amp service so that I can charge at 40amps which takes approx 1.5 hours to fully charge.

The NEMA 14-50 plug on this charger is standard for home EV charging and ensures compatibility with a wide range of vehicles. It works very well on my J1772 vehicle. I charge at 240V, 24 amps, and this charger handles these conditions well. It's important to know the size of the breaker on the circuit you're using with this charger. Ensure that you follow the 80% rule. Set the charger to only 80% of the total circuit capacity to prevent any potential overload. For example, my outlet is 30 amps, so I set this charger to 24 amps max. I suggest that you avoid running any other devices on the same circuit while charging. The heat generated during charging is more pronounced in my warm climate. It's designed to handle this; however, I’ve found that ensuring adequate airflow around the unit can help maintain performance. I installed a cooling fan on my charging wall that blows air over the charger.

The setup was straightforward and the included wall mount helped keep things clean and off the ground. The cable feels sturdy without being too stiff, and the 25-foot length has been more than enough to reach both ends of the driveway, depending on how the car is parked. Charging speed is noticeably faster than a standard Level 1 outlet. It’s not instant, of course, but it’s efficient enough to top off overnight without worry. I like that the charger display gives real-time information so I can check charging stats and usage. It comes neatly packaged in a bag and comes in handy when we bring the charger along when visiting family. Haven’t personally tested the “drive-over durability” as seen in their video but the build quality is sturdy. It’s also been compatible with a couple of different vehicles we've tried, which has made it useful for guests who drive different EV models.

Very impressive level 2 charger with a nice mount for the garage, but also a nice case to transport it around when traveling. Easy to adjust settings to work with different power ratings and to stay within the 80% guideline. Had to get an adapter to make this work on a Tesla, but that was less than $20 and really glad to have this. Great value for a really high quality charger!
