This is probably the highest quality J1772 adapter I have used yet after testing several. In fact it's so high quality, it's better than the Tesla OEM one. In truth, most actually work and look near identical with minor differences in plastic quality and shape. But this one is shaped near identical to Tesla's OEM adapter, but uses a much nicer finish. It latches perfectly fine onto J1772 chargers and stays securely in place, and inserts into the NACS port just fine like it should. I was able to sustain 48 amps of charging consistently for several hours with no issue, so it works as advertised with my 240v Level 2 charger at home, and at work. For the price, definitely buy this one instead of overpaying for other brands. ELEGRP is pretty well known for making high quality electric switches and outlets, and this adapter is no different.

The J1772 to Tesla adapter works perfectly and feels very solid. It connects easily to both the charging station and my Tesla with a secure fit. Charging starts right away with no issues, and it handles Level 1 and Level 2 charging reliably. The adapter feels well-built and durable, not cheap or flimsy. I also appreciate the included carry bag, which makes it easy to store in the car. Great alternative to more expensive adapters and very convenient for public charging stations.

Tested this out on an off-the-shelf charger to a Model Y. No issues if you're needing one. This would come in handy to keep in the car while traveling or if you're at a friends' house that doesn't have NACS. Won't work for DC fast chargers obviously, that's a whole other adapter game. But within the specified amperage and voltage this unit was totally fine. I was impressed with the build quality, it was much heavier than I thought it would be. I'd feel confident enough to leave this tumbling around with my mobile charger in the trunk. Didn't notice any adverse effects on charge rate other than what was limited by the charger anyway. The integrated clip is a bit firm, but that's something you probably want anyway. Overall, a good accessory if you have a NACS port on your car!

This is a very solid little J1772 to NACS adapter for when you have an NACS car like a Tesla, or the new Hyundais, and need to charge it at one of the many J1772 public charger. I like having a spare, as many people accidentally leave one on the public charger.

Solid construction, used in near freezing temps and no issues. I don't have access to an 80A charger, but for normal charging it worked great. The diagram on the description says to remove it after you unlock the adapter, this causes issues with my Tesla, so I just remove the charger and adapter together as one.

I have had my used tesla for about 6 months now. We go to visit my mother in law, about 90 miles away, a couple times a month. I found a used charger with a long enough cord for me to use there so that I can leave a cord there and not need to use an extension cord with the mobile connector. The negative of the used cord that I got was taht it was a J1772 cord and needed an adapter. I had an adaptor that came with the card, but I didn't want to leave the one I had on the charger and I didn't want to not have one that stayed there. As far as I know there isn't anyone else that is going to use this charging cord, but there may be someone at some point. So it made sense for me to get an extra adapter to leave one there and to leave one in my car. I am using this on a level 1 charger, so I am not stressing the adapter at all. I can't speak to using it at a fast charger. But I have used it for a while at my mother in law's place and I have had no issues. It charges at the same rate as the official tesla one that I have.

The media could not be loaded. I’ve been meaning to pick one of these up so I can charge my 2021 Tesla Model 3 at non-Tesla chargers (malls, public garages, etc.), and this adapter has been great. It feels well made, has a nice grippy texture, and connects securely on both ends. No looseness, no weird fitment issues. I’ve used it successfully with public J1772 chargers and it works exactly as advertised, as well as using it with the portable J1772 charger I have at home for her non-Tesla EV. Charging starts right away and stays stable. I’ll be uploading a video with the review showing it in use, but overall I have zero complaints. If you need a J1772 to Tesla adapter for everyday public charging, this one does the job perfectly.
