If you're leading a hatching badge project, this incubator is exactly what you need. As a troop leader, my priority is keeping the project reliable and the girls engaged. This delivers on both counts. The best feature for a group is the set-it-and-forget-it automation. I don't have time to constantly babysit an incubator, so the digital temperature and humidity controls were a must. The automatic egg turning feature keeps the eggs healthy without me having to schedule manual turns every few hours. Just be sure to set a reminder to pull that turning tray out three days before hatch day. The educational value is fantastic. The clear view means all the girls can gather around and watch the embryos develop without obstruction. Do NOT buy this! Don’t try to save money… buy something better. This will kill all of your hatching eggs. The temperature sensor is WAY off, FRYING my hatching eggs. The heat runs a lot, I have two sensors inside telling me it’s over 101F while the machine says it’s only 98 so the heat keeps running and running. The humidity, terrible! Says too high with a tiny bit of water. My gosh, it’s the worst. Please do not buy this if you want to hatch your eggs

I found this Smart Egg Incubator very easy to put together and get it to work. The setup was simple, and the controls are user-friendly, making it a great option for beginners. It holds 12 eggs, which is a good capacity for small-scale hatching. Super cute little incubator that gets the job done!! It's at a good price point and it's very sturdy and controls humidity and temperature very well!! It is easy to set up and also to clean. When the chickens hatch there isn't too much space for them so that's something to note!!

I have been raising chickens for over 50 years and this was my first time ever using an incubator I am SO pleased with this one! It literally was set it up, turn it on and let it go. I had a 100% hatch rate. I just kept the water bottle filled and let it run. It turned the fggs, kept the temperature rock steady and was absolutely the easiest thing ever from the beginning of the process to the easy cleanup after hatch. I highly recommend this little incubator to anyone looking for a small batch , simple, reliable way to hatch your own chicks

It's a nice small incubator that's working so for. But it has no humidity control, so I have to adjust the humidity by adding or draining water to get it right. Also, the temperature settings can be adjusted in 1-degree increments, but this is not great for what I'm trying to hatch (cockatiels).
