Description

IMPORTANT EXPLANATION TO AVOID MISUNDERSTANDING ON THE POWER ADAPTER: If you notice both the power connector on the 12V power adapter and the power connector on the bottom of the incubator base are all male type connectors, IT IS CORRECT! It is NOT we put the wrong power adapter in the box. The correct way to connect the power adapter to the incubator is both of the male connectors mentioned above need to be plugged into the two sockets located on the back of the incubator top black control box, please refer to the included manual to see how to correctly connect the incubator to the power adapter to avoid misunderstanding. If you are looking for an incubator that is easy to use, high hatch rate, without always worrying about temperature or humidity fluctuation, the KEBONNIXS 12 egg incubator is just designed for this! Easy Humidity Monitor and Control: Unlike many of other incubators that each time filling water will need to open incubator lid and will cause humidity fluctuation; for this incubator you can directly fill water into external water top-up, which is much more convenient and can highly reduce the humidity fluctuation. Also, it can display humidity level, so you can clearly monitor humidity level at any time. Automatic egg turner with auto-stop: Every 60 minutes, the automatic egg turner will gently rolls the eggs by a certain angle to simulate nature hen hatch to increase hatch rate. Also, it has a built-in timer to help you keeping track of the days, so you can clearly know how many days left. Furthermore, it will help you automatically stop turning eggs 3 days before hatch day to avoid excess turning to your eggs Fun and educational Egg Candler: With using built-in LED egg Candler, you can easily observe the development of the eggs, to track and monitor if eggs are developing correctly.

  • The automated features make this great for worried beginners.
I noticed my chickens were making a massive clutch of eggs, but hadn't decided who should sit on them yet. I bought this to ensure that I had some hatchlings, while my new mothers took some time for their instincts to set in. All in all, I just let-'er rip and put some distilled water in the water hole when the humidity dropped below 50% (about every day in my dry house). The machine took care of the rest, and gives live readings on the temp and humidity inside. The buttons are clearly labeled, so you don't have to search for the manual to figure out what multi-function button turns the Candling Light on and off, or informs you of how many days remain until chicks start hatching. I'm not sure what all conditions will activate the beeper, besides pressing buttons, but if there is a beep for any kind of error, you will certainly hear that thing throughout a house. That could be nice, if you have someone that may explore the features without permission. I like that there's a little, protected fan in there to keep the air fresh and blow-dry the newborn chicks. A couple minor imperfections I noticed are: - I wanted to hatch a couple of jumbo eggs that came from my ISA Brown chicken, but there were some rare eggs that were just too big to roll freely and couldn't be used in this machine. - Once chicks begin hatching, there is very little room for them to move, though I suspect it isn't that much different from mom being parked on top of them. The time between hatch and transfer to a brooder is only a day or two anyhow, so as long as there's not so much light that they try to move too much, it's probably fine. My first two chicks had to wait overnight for their siblings to hatch, so I replaced their empty shells with a couple tops that came from empty spice shakers (the red ones with the flip-up tops). I filled one lid with water and the other with their starter kibble. To my surprise, they started eating and drinking immediately, but they couldn't fit past eachother to go back and forth to the dishes. This resulted in some rivalry, but turning off all the lights got them to snooze peacefully. All in all, I'd say it's pretty effective and troubble-free , with my only suggestions being a slightly larger egg-turning grid for jumbo eggs, and possibly a means to subdue the ambient light when you're not staring at the eggs and cheering them on. ... show more

  • 100% hatch rate
A+++This incubator exceeds my expectations because is my first time ever incubating chicken eggs. Everything works perfectly as described. No problems using it, I just read the manual and followed the instructions with no problems. All 12 chicks hatched perfectly fine. They all hatched from 20-21 days, I used eggs from different clutches varying from 5-7 days and no problem. Last night hatched the last chick. I’m very happy with the easy set up and settings of the incubator. I recommend it 200%, thank you Kebonnix I have 12 beautiful new chicks at home. ... show more

  • Flawless...
This thing just flat out worked. My daughter and I just hatched 11 out of 12 eggs. It would have been 12 if the last one had been fertilized. It was so easy. And that was even with it getting way too cold in our building for a couple days when the heater went out. So it is fairly forgiving as well.

  • Better than I thought it'd be
I bought this as a 3rd incubator to use exclusively as a hatcher because I had 2 full Brinsea Mini Advanced with a staggered hatch oncoming. I fully expected to only use it for this instance. Due to no fault of the incubators the hatch was a total fail (the eggs were severely scrambled by shipping, it was a shot in the dark to even try with them) so I bought more eggs.. and ended up with a LOT of them all at once. I had both the minis and this incubator full! In the end the Kebonix gave me the highest rate of eggs making it to lockdown. I also used it as the hatcher. It has a ton of room, a huge water reservoir, and you can refill it from outside (something only my mini adv II has, not my mini adv I) which were all points in its favor for hatching serama eggs. The turning method is gentle enough to use with small eggs successfully, but unlike the brinseas it doesn't rely on gear alignment- I've lost eggs to accidentally misaligning the gear on the brinseas and not noticing the eggs weren't turning whenever it beeped to do so. I also found out that the high temperature alarm works- a pet had pushed the things blocking direct sunlight from hitting the incubator and hearing the alarm probably saved the hatch! There is a little bit of ventilation control and the egg candler works fantastically. The best part is it has a HYGROMETER... thank goodness!!! Even if it is inaccurate (not saying it is, I'm honestly not totally sure) having an actual number to watch combined with marking and weighing your eggs is going to give you enough relative data points to control your humidity very well. Neutral points in comparison to the brinseas specifically, your control is not going to be nearly as granular. Do you need that granularity? Maybe. It depends on how experienced you are and what you're hatching. As far as I can tell it also does not have a cool down sequence. The menu and digital settings are a bit harder to navigate than the brinsea menus, and it makes an obnoxious beep literally every time you push a button. These are all things I can live with without real complaint, especially at this price point, but if you are hatching very exotic species that are decently far removed from the incubation parameters of chickens I would invest in something better. My big complaints for this incubator are just 2 things after running it for basically 3 months straight: the water reservoir's gaps are too big if you are hatching very small birds. Button quail might very well end up in the reservoir, and any size of chicken chick is at risk of getting their legs through these gaps. I didn't have this happen but I was also watching with extreme paranoia. In the future I will likely add something to close the gaps. Second, the exposed metal of the turning mechanism is also a part of the water reservoir, and it is unfortunately already rusting! I really like this incubator but anything that rusts that fast and has to be a hot, humid environment is not going to have staying power. If you are a first time hatcher or rarely hatch eggs you are probably not going to find a better incubator at this price point! It's honestly comparable to the brinsea at a fraction of the cost. The hygrometer is also a HUGE plus for a beginner, as is the built in egg candler (no misplacing anything, and listen I used my phone flashlight for years- it works but this thing is so much better, I promise.) If you find out you love hatching then the rust is only a problem if you refuse to ever replace it- mind you even my brinsea mini adv I has rust on the turning gear, but I've also used that one for the better part of a decade and for dozens of hatches. If you are in for the long haul on hatching I would still recommend the brinsea just because of the sturdiness of the machine and granular control, and for the programmable cooling period. Over all I love this thing and as someone who very, very rarely hatches anymore? I might sell my other incubators and just keep this one. ... show more
