It's worth it. Easy to build even as a petite lady using only a phillips screwdriver and adjustable wrench. Chickens are happy. There was minor damage to some pieces and chips to paint but nothing a little common sense cant fix if desired (smidgen of caulk/filler or dab of paint). If someone planned to keep this for years I strongly recommend a quality outdoor chicken-safe paint or sealer to make it last and look good. It'd definitely help prevent water damage and cover minor imperfections. ... show more

Easy to put together and just wish it was a little bigger. It states for up to eight chickens. I have eight and really need more room. Maybe only 5 to 6 chickens. But I absolutely love it.

This coop is adorable and well built for the price. It was kind of easy to put together but I would definitely have two people to assemble it. A drill is needed to make the job go faster. The materials were packaged so well and every piece was included. The coops roof is water proof and there was even a couple of flaps to cover the eggs retrieval lids for water proofing that area. Such thought and care was given to this design and it seems sturdy and functional for the cost. ... show more

This chicken coop is...cute to look at. It seems to be made out of balsa wood. The wood is *extremely* lightweight and delicate. Be careful when handling. (We accidentally dropped a screwdriver handle on one of the wall boards during assemble and it looks like someone shot it.) The three roost bars are below the entry for the roost boxes, so my young chickens are developing bad habits...and sleeping in nesting boxes. I have four chickens and they DO NOT like going into the coop. At sundown they perch on the apex of the roof. I have to bodily go move them inside. This coop is part of temporary summer digs for my girls while we have a construction project going on. I'm looking forward to building them a sturdy, correctly formatted coop later in the summer. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I took my time and put this together by myself. Including breaks and distractions a total of almost 4 hrs. I love it and my ducks love it! I'm sure it will need maintenance to make it last our harsh seasons in SW Missouri, but all in all this is a fantastic set up for a beginner duck keeper like me! I should add that 2 boxes arrived very quickly and when I eagerly unpacked and realized there was too much missing and there must be a 3rd box, both Amazon and the company's customer service were very helpful in confirming there will be a 3rd box and that FedEx would show delivered only after it arrived. That was only 2 more days. I imagine FedEx just missed it and it needed to be routed back to me. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This was pretty easy to put together alone. I just needed some help putting the sides together but could probably be done alone it would just be harder. The pieces are not super great quality but it works for what it is. It seems spacious for the six chickens we are planning. It seems sturdier after assembly.
