I did a lot of looking and a lot of research before deciding to purchase this particular awning. I’m glad I took my time and found this manufacturer and in particular the 15’x10’ model. I was going to go with the steel version which has a motor but also is twice the weight of the aluminum version I settled on. I was a bit nervous that at 75lbs it would not be commercial enough, but I’m glad to report its sturdy and well made. Instructions were pretty straightforward, and I had it up in about 3-4 hours. Read through the directions and don’t rush and you’ll be just fine. I mounted this onto a 2”x12” face board under my deck. That allowed me to lag into the face with 2 bolts and use one lag in the ceiling bracket. That’s 3 lag bolts per bracket and three brackets for a total of 9 lag molts. I went to the hardware store and bought my own lag bolts because the lags supplied didn’t have thread all the way down the body of it and I preferred to have total thread engagement. All in all it’s a great purchase and will really expand the usable sections of our deck especially when the sun is out in the middle of the day. I highly recommend this product. ... show more

Bought this for my parent's deck. They like it so far. The only issue is once it’s fully extended, it shakes quite a bit in the wind. Sometimes it feels like it will just break off. Let’s hope it doesn’t

The reason why i give 3 star and not 5 is because i received the product damaged , damage does not affect functional but cosmetic i wrote to customer service and seems that i will not even get an answer. I hope product last long because manufacturer does not answer
