This Delmicure hearing aid, after using at least 4 other ones over the last few years, works the best for me. I lost a lot of hearing decades ago due to a loud explosion that ricocheted off two walls and concentrated the sound energy into my ear. Ugh. But I was leery about rechargeable hearing aids. The feature I like best is the double cone that fits in your ear. It stabilizes the input orifice mush better than the single cone. So, I recharge it everyday, either by hooking up to computer, or a portable battery if out for an overnighter. (Plus, I keep an old battery powered aid and batteries as backup.)

My current hearing loss it due to a severe sinus infection and ruptured ear drum. My head is so full I can't hear a darn thing! I bought this based on the reviews as Christmas is coming and I want to be able to hear my family and watch the movies without the CC on. To be honest, it works just fine. Sure, it picks up back ground noise and if it is not properly inserted there can be some feed back but if used and inserted properly, you will be able to hear just fine. Although the sound tends to be "tinny", it does exactly what I need it to do. A very inexpensive alternative for someone that only needs this as long as this infection and clogged head continues. I only purchased one as I work from home and am on the phone a lot so removing one all the time for my work ear bud seems pointless.

Any hearing aid you buy that is not custom set and fitted is not going to meet every expectation. That said, this is a singular BTE hearing aid that performs well in neutral environments. I didn't notice any squealing like others have done and the isolated amplification works well for a low to moderate loss.
