Purchased this sunshade for the front of our poolhouse/gym in order to give shade to people sitting outside beside the pool. It does that and nicely shades the sliding door leading into the poolhouse so that the workout space doesn't heat up as much as it used to do. The reason we got this is that I much prefer the look of these sorts of sunshades to rollout shades that are permanently affixed to the building. The color is true black - it has been in place for one month and it will be interesting to see if the color fades or becomes irregular. The grommets do not catch the eye. When we were picking it out I thought that it might have too industrial a look but it does not. The triangular shape makes it less intrusive in the backyard. Size is adequate to have four outdoor armchairs comfortably shaded without being crowded together (this is probably due to the angle of the sun when we tend to want to sit outside). We intend to purchase a couple of more to cover another part of the yard and to offset layer those in order to provide a larger shaded area. It was easy to "install" because we purchased nice looking carabiners to clip the shade to eyelets and also had good bling to use for the longer run.

We were ok with our first order but 2 of the sides were curved and one was straight. So we thought ordering another one would be the same. Thinking we could use 2 of the same brackets from first one to install the second one but was only able to use one. Second one was about 2-3 feet sorter. 1 side is curved and 2sides are straight. There isn't any way to take out the sag on the one side no matter where we put the brackets. That side is about 1 to 2 feet longer than other sides. We bought these to keep sun from coming in the windows of our 5th wheel trailer and to keep the roof next to it cooler. Would look and work great if sides were the same on both.

I have ordered a larger sail in white that we loved over our pool, but we were hanging it up and decided we needed a smaller sail to cover our patio table/furniture. I had gotten chairs with turquoise cushions and thought, why not, lets get a turquoise sail and it did not disappoint! It is a gorgeous color! I hope the sun won't fade it too much because its perfect with my cushions (which are not in the picture). We are hoping this sail also blocks the heat into the family room in the hot summer months, looking forward to summer here in Sunny California!

I ordered a custom sized sun shade sail because our deck didn't really accommodate the normal ones. It's a nice product that came out dimensionally exactly as asked. It came with hardware for mounting including three wire ropes with loop ends. I cannot talk to durability as it is new but it appears to be very well made. I didn't know what to expect in terms of material and it is hard to describe. It is not canvas and not like a sailboat sail, but a rougher version - almost as though it were a homespun synthetic weave. (Note: In the picture, those little knobs you see on the sail are not part of it, they are misters for hot days, a separate product.) Amazon incorrectly puts in shipping dates, which made for some confusion. It said it was supposed to come June 11, but it came on the 20th - I didn't expect it on the 11th as it was a custom order, but Amazon said so. When I inquired, ColourTree was very helpful and explained how Amazon puts in incorrect dates and the status of my order. I can recommend this without reservation.

I love this cover. It gives my East facing window shade and also my AC unit. My plants love it as well, they were struggling in the hot sun. I also found a spot to set up a bucket for rain collection for watering my plants. Very well constructed and a breeze to install. I used three I hooks and three clips plus a little piece of rope. Total about $3.

I had bought 3 of these appx 3 years ago and they have been spectacular in an aggressive climate (socal inland temps 30s - 100s throughout the year). I have them mounted very tightly so they don't sag at all. I had to replace one when I was using my gas powered blower and got eh exhaust too close to it and melted a hole. I was super worried I would have to order another 3 because of fading and material tolerances but in actuality, the fading has been almost non-existent. At first the size was a problem as the new ones seemed much smaller (by 10-15 inches) but adding a link of chain with a turnbuckle over a week it is the exact size o f the old one. I cannot say enough good things! for the price and durability these are absolutely top notch!

Just got these Sunshades Sails but the initial quality is great! The addition of the metal rings at the end instead of fabric is a welcome change as I have repaired the fabric one many times from wind wear! They look great too by adding a cozy feel to an open second floor deck!
