This pedestal mount ended up being one of those products that looks more substantial in the listing than it does once it’s in your hands. It technically works and does hold the charger fine once installed, but the overall finish and build quality left me pretty underwhelmed for the price point. The base plate is actually fairly thick and sturdy, and once anchored into concrete the stand feels stable enough. The height is also comfortable to use without bending awkwardly, and I did appreciate that they included mounting hardware, anchors, screws, and the cable hook setup all in the box. Where this starts falling apart a bit is the rest of the construction. The pole itself is made from much thinner metal than I expected, and the welds on mine were rough and uneven looking. Some areas already had scratches and spots where the coating looked thin right out of the packaging, which does not inspire confidence for long-term outdoor use. I would honestly feel better using this inside a garage or at least in a more protected area rather than fully exposed to harsh weather year-round. Installation also requires more improvising than it should. There were no instructions included, and some of the pre-drilled holes did not line up particularly well for the accessory pieces. If you are comfortable drilling your own holes or making small adjustments, it’s manageable, but this definitely does not feel like a polished premium kit. The small rain cover is better than nothing, but it is not large enough to fully shield everything during windy rain. I also would not rely heavily on the included finish to prevent rust long term unless you plan to repaint or touch it up yourself. In the end, I’d call this functional but overpriced for the quality level. It does the job if you mainly need a freestanding charger mount and are willing to tinker a little, but I expected cleaner fabrication and better weather resistance at this cost.

I bought this for my daughter's EV because she didn't want the charger just hanging off the side of my house. That was the main reason. It looks cleaner mounted on a freestanding post and keeps the cable organized with the hook on the side. We also had a plug put on the outside so it was easy to change charger if we ever wanted to, or could use it for a generator inlet in emergencies. So this solved that problem of a clean look. The steel itself is decent. Cold rolled, powder coated, feels like it'll hold up outside. 18 pounds so it has some weight to it. The charger backplate has cutouts, and she doesn't have a tesla, works for a honda ev level 2 charger fine. Here's the thing though. You absolutely have to bolt this down to something. The base has mounting holes but there's no hardware for that part and no real guidance on what to anchor it to. I ended up burying a 6x6 post about a foot and a half deep and bolted the column to that. Concrete pad would work too. Point is, if you think you're just going to set this on your driveway and call it done, no. It'll tip. The rain cover is a bit small. It keeps direct rain off the charger plug area but don't expect it to shield much else. Wind-driven rain is still getting in there. It's more of a token effort than actual weather protection. If you live somewhere with real storms you might want to add your own cover or mount it under an overhang, but the chargers are built to be outside. For what it is, it cleans up the look of a garage-side charger setup and gives you a dedicated spot for everything. Just go in knowing you need to plan the mounting yourself and the cover is more decorative than functional. It is affordable enough for what it is.

The Cold Rolled Steel Charging Station Column is a solid, no‑nonsense solution when you want to mount an EV charger in a location without a wall, such as a driveway. The steel feels heavy and rigid, and the painted finish helps resist rust while sitting outdoors. The column comes with anchor bolts that make it easy to set it firmly into a concrete pad, so it doesn’t wobble once tightened. The built‑in rain cover does offer some protection, but the overhang is fairly small, so on a light drizzle or with a bit of wind, the charging socket can still get damp; for really wet climates, you may want to add extra weather protection. That said, its main role is exactly what I needed: a stable, vertical mounting point for the charging unit where a wall‑mounted solution isn’t possible, this column is a practical and well‑built choice.

So. This evse charger stand is okay....and just ok. They tout the solid 1 piece construction and thickness of the base. But there are some flaws buyers should know about. The main mast of the charging pole is quite thin, mine actually has a hole in the dead center where they blasted through it while welding the seam at the factory. There are knockouts to run wiring, but the metal is so sharp, they REALLY should have included some grommets, lest you cut your wiring sheathing. Also the metal for the "sun hood" for the charger is super thin. I hadn't even installed it yet, and just sitting in my garage, there were rust spots where their paint had missed. The inside of the post is also not protected in any way from corrosion so if water gets in, it can rust from the inside out. Overall, usable but not thrilled about the quality.

This charging station column looks nice once assembled and should work fine for a private residential setup. The black finish is clean and even, and the base feels solid. It is definitely better than leaving an EV charging cable on the ground, and the included concrete anchors seem appropriate for mounting it securely. That said, this feels more like a sheet-metal stand than the heavy-duty column I was expecting from the listing. The base is sturdy, but the main post and cord hook feel lighter-duty. The hook in particular seems a bit flimsy, though it should still work for holding a charging cable under normal home use. It did not come with instructions, so installation requires some common sense and comfort with drilling into concrete or another solid surface. The hardware appears to be expansion-style concrete anchors, which is good, but clearer directions would have helped. For home use, I think this is fine. It looks clean, keeps the charger and cable organized, and should do the job. I would not choose it for a high-traffic or heavy-use location where people might bump into it regularly, but for a driveway or garage setup, it is a decent option with some limitations.

I grabbed this as a housewarming gift for my sister’s new place since they just moved in with an EV and definitely need a solid spot to hang their charger. She has not actually received it yet, so I cannot speak to how the bolt-in process goes or how sturdy the final setup feels once it is in the ground, but I can definitely update my review after it is installed and they have used it for a bit. Right out of the box, the build quality is impressive. The cold rolled steel feels incredibly heavy-duty and has some serious weight to it, so I am expecting it to be very stable. The finish is smooth and seems thick enough to handle rain and sun without chipping or rusting. It looks way cleaner than a DIY wooden post and should give their new driveway a much more polished, high-end look. I am excited to see it set up because it seems like it will keep their cable organized at the perfect height so they are not bending over every time they need to plug in

I purposely ordered this charging station, not for the use of a charging station, but for the use of bolting to the ground and putting a mailbox on it. It is basically a steel rectangle shape column that has additional parts that attached to the main column so if using for a charging station, you can hang up the charger. Since I am not purposely using this for a charging station, it is hard to give a proper review, but I can tell you that the steel is heavy duty. The installation regardless of use, is easy to put together and easy to attach to the ground. There was nothing in the box that had any kind of battery attachment, so there’s no batteries and there’s no indicator to show charging speed. It is simply a steel metal column for a hanging up the charger. Based on what I know, and based on what is in the box, the function of this column works perfectly for those using it as a charging station. The design was made accurately for the charger. I am not sure I would say this is worth the value but it is already premade to use for a charging station however, I am sure you would be able to buy a steel column elsewhere and add your own accessories to hold a charger. In my personal opinion, and you don’t wanna put time into it to make your own, this is a great piece and great value.

The steel on this pillar feels really heavy and doesn't wiggle at all once you get it bolted down to the concrete. All the parts fit together perfectly and that little rain cover on top actually keeps the plug bone dry during our typical storms. I really like how the hook is thick enough to hold a long heavy cable without bending or scratching the finish. It looks like a professional install in my driveway and the black coating seems like it will hold up against rusting for a long time. The whole setup is well made and stays exactly where you put it even when you are yanking the cord out.
