The box is over 75lbs delivered, so unless you're already pretty buff, grab a helper to carry it to your room destination. Assembly wasn't straightforward because the hardware was just tossed inside the box, not in a bag and not labeled. It took over an hour, and I used my own screwdriver as the one provided didn't have enough leverage. A washer fell into the wheel housing twice when screwing in the media tray pole because of the difficulty of access. It was frustrating. Once assembled, it's a smooth glide and pull. The base rocks a bit when you really get it going, but not too badly. My biggest complaint is that I don't find the resistance levels to be very powerful. I'm an out-of-shape novice, and can use the hardest setting with relative ease. I'd hoped for a product to grow into, and this one just isn't. That said, it is good for lots of smaller reps. Pros: •solid machine, feels well made •media stand makes workouts convenient •seat and bar pull/slide quietly and smoothly •generous size and padding of seat helps cushion during workouts •price point Cons: •poor resistance level selection •assembly is time consuming and (for me) frustrating •difficult to move to store- wheels on front are useless, and it's too heavy to pick up and relocate machine frequently •pedal design might work for tall people with larger feet, but straps are located much too high for my size 8 woman's. It wraps around my toes, not mid-foot. Overall, worth the price and effort, but intro machine and not for active enthusiasts. ... show more

I bought this because my girlfriend wanted it. Assembly was very easy, the instructions were clear and the parts were well labeled. Only thing is there was a bag with 2 bolts stapled to the instructions. Wasn't sure where they went, but I figured it out in the end. I included a picture if anyone else gets confused.     • Popping wheelies on a rowing machine.

I bought this because I wanted to do a full body/cardio exercise while everything is closed due to COVID-19. I gave it three stars because it does the job however I’ve had to make modifications to make it more stable. I assembled it by myself and it took two afternoons because of frustration, but I managed to put it together properly. The two biggest issues I am going to explain is corroborated by another reviewer so I know these issues aren’t due to user error. 1) Footrests: I discovered too late that the footrests should not move. These have a rocking motion that may have some utility, but with no locking mechanism it increases instability. I ended up putting blocks (made of the same stuff as equipment mats) in the negative space and securing with duct tape. 2) Wheelhouse: the wheelhouse part of the machine is too light. Every time you pull...the machine pulls up with you. Add your feet not being secured in one position its a hell of an unpleasant ride. I should not be popping wheelies on a rowing machine. My solution was to put a cinderblock on each side to act as counterweights. My review is 3 stars because its a mediocre product that (with some ingenuity on your part) gets the job done. If I could choose another rower I would spend the extra 2-300$ to get a Concept 2, Sunny Fitness machine. ... show more

I was so excited to get my rower. It took me 2 hours to set up by myself. When i finally got it all together I wanted to cry. When you raise the tension and being to row hard the whole machine front comes off the floor and is very unsteady. The foot petals move and do not stay in one place. The pivot front to back. Assembly was ok, not great. Instructions could have been a little clearer. And I mean just that the pictures were blurry in some pages. The Bluetooth connection and the app are almost not worth the effort. The time you spend trying to get the to sync and work you could have been rowing for 30 minutes. Now the machine itself is solid. Seat rolls nicely and the rail has a good length to easily handle my 6’4” stroke. Tension is easy to adjust pretty much on the fly. Rail folds up nicely and the unit can roll away to a corner out of the way. There is a couple of ports on the back that I suspect are for accessories like a heart monitor and something else but I don’t know if they work or much about them. Again the instructions could be better. They don’t say anything about these ports. All in though for the price I’m very pleased. I would recommend this as a good basic machine. I purchased this rower 2 weeks ago, and I have been using it approximately 30 minutes per day for full body workout. This is a great rower at a very reasonable price. It is well built, sturdy and easy to use. The rowing mechanism is very smooth and quiet, I have no problem watching TV or listening to music while doing exercise. The rower is foldable, and it is easy to move because of the transport wheels. But one thing to note is the rower itself when fully assembled and in use – it’s quite long so you will need to have a minimum 6 ft of space to put it. Overall, it is a great piece of equipment to own at home instead of paying for gym membership, and I would definitely recommend this rower to others. ... show more

Because it folds up it fits great in my apartment and is quiet enough to not annoy my neighbors. Assembly took a few hours but eventually figured it out. Worth the price.

It was well packaged and the instructions were very easy to follow. You will need a box cutter or scissors to get to the clearly labeled parts (see photo). *It was very difficult to turn the dial to release the rower initially. *When putting the post through the foot tests I had to tap one fairly hard to get it through.
