Nice heavy box. Like the aluminum outer shell. After opening the box it came in, it looks like it was a returned item. There was damage to the bottom where the release latches are. Didn't send it back, due to the hassle of returning it.

I thought about giving this a lower rating because there is no way I’m drilling into the bed of my truck to mount this, but it is really good quality overall. I give it 5 stars because there are lots of applications for this toolbox. It functions well and the method for attaching this toolbox something leaves a lot of options for you for where you can put it. Right now I have it mounted on a tool bench to help organize my stuff. The drawers are pretty smooth and really make for a nice toolbox. It’s secure enough if you feel like you need to lock something up and no one is gonna be able to break into it easily. The drawers do open freely which isn’t a big deal for me in the application I use it, but I could see that being annoying if you use it on vehicle or something that isn’t on a level surface. Overall I would say it’s a pretty good locking toolbox for the money you’ll spend. If the dimensions seem right and you need a bit for secured storage, then you won’t be disappointed ... show more

    • Box Good, Single Lock to close and lock door BAD

Box works as it should. When I bought this, they were only offering the single lock door. I thought the lock was flimsy and it would only take a prybar to open it. Didn't need to worry about the prybar the locking bar failed and broke apart. The reason is because the weight in the draws with the driving and stopping allows the drawers to move back and forth. So essentially the drawers keep hammering on the door which puts pressure on the locking bar that holds the door closed and locked and just bend the locking bar until it breaks. Now I'm stuck with no way to close the door and no way to lock it. I see they now offer a new style with a turn latch and lock. It looks like this will hold up better than just having the single lock to close and lock the door. 2 stars because the toolbox works, -0 stars because the lock is CRAP. ... show more
