We got this for the studio window, which gets full sun all summer afternoon, and most of the day in winter. It is large enough to keep both the window and the wall on either side of the window so much cooler that it is noticeable, inside. Keeps the glare out, too. We added a chain to the side without the tie-down rope, attached with an S hook to the bar at the corner, and another S hook attached to an eye hook on the building, which keeps it stable in the high winds we often have in Arkansas. Both this and the previous, bought 2 years ago, have gone through 110+ F temps without any damage, except color fading. That isn''t an important detail to us.

After only two months the color faded. Very disappointed since I purchased over six. The ones not in the sun are fine and kept their color. Which makes it worse. Installation was easy enough. Wouldn’t buy again.

Bought this awning just this year, we've used this type of awning for years. When we received the awning I noted the material didn't look or feel the same. Overall quality seems ok, my only complaint is the color is already washed out and faded. The older awnings we had held up about three years before fading.

Have looked for an awning after my other one got ripped down in a storm. At first glance this awning appears to be solid. Easy to install and came with all the bolts and brackets. I installed by myself but would be easier with two people. Goes together easy and directions are simple to follow. I was a bit worried about the cloth and it being outside so I purchased the tan colored one hoping to show less fading over time. Wasn’t sure if the fabric was waterproof so I purchased some spray waterproofing to coat the fabric. Stitching seems to be adequate at all the seams. Overall this seems to be a good awning for the money. Not sure about it’s ability to shed water but I’m more concerned with shading my back door from the direct sun than I am the water. Awning also came with a rope and pulley system to flatten awning against the house if a storm is coming which is nice. Also included a cleat to tie the Rope down. Would purchase again if I needed another awning. Adds a nice touch to my back deck and provides great cover on hot days.

NICE ITEM. I BOUGHT 3. DID NOT take long to FADE tho. BUMMER. DOES THE JOB ON MY WINDOWS was not hard to mount them. the Green turns to a faded white greenish look. with my house painted green and brown it looks off now.
