Great base!! Heavy and sturdy. My umbrella barely moves. Also, put my old base on it and fits perfectly adding more weight as well as a foot stool. I have a pub height chair and it's nice to have somewhere to rest my feet.

I am very happy with this Umbrella Base Plate. Nice construction with 2 tension set screw-type (to secure the your umbrella pole) plus 2 mounting bolts to security the supplied mounting pole to 40lb. base plate. Most all others I reviewed only have 1 base bolt and 1 umbrella pole tightening screw. Seems very durable and stable. Just the correct amount of weight to keep my patio umbrella from moving or tipping over. Would be perfect if the 4 non-slip footpads were adjustable to accommodate unlevel or uneven ground, but this is a minor complaint.

It’s really heavy and a very nice base. We coded the screws to hopefully prevent them from rusting out, fingers crossed, but we’ve had this for about three months now without any issues.

I previously had a more bulky umbrella base, but it looked out of place under my smallish table. I read the reviews on this one, and liked the modern, sleek look. It’s heavy enough to do its job (but not so heavy I had trouble handling it). I am very happy with my purchase.

I like the pads on this stand and that it is flat so it doesn't interfere with where you put your feet when you put it through a table. We found that the table helped steady it. However, we live in a windy area and it isn't the stand's fault that I undersized my need for more weight when getting a new umbrella. After ordering this, I got a larger umbrella of 15 feet and found out that it is recommended to have an umbrella stand of a weight at least 10 times the dimension of the umbrella. So based on that, this umbrella would only be for smaller umbrellas and not my new large umbrella.
