Living here in South Florida, we know a thing or two about wind, and keeping our extra-large pool umbrella secure has always been a bit of a nail-biting experience. Enter the C-Hopetree 40 lb Square Steel Plate Patio Umbrella Base, a true game changer! This thing is SOLID. Right out of the box, you can feel the quality and heft. It's a serious piece of steel, and that's exactly what we needed. Setting it up was a breeze; just placed it where we wanted the umbrella and secured it. The square design is nice and stable, and the black finish looks sharp and doesn't detract from our patio decor. Since getting this base, we've had a couple of those classic Florida afternoon thunderstorms roll through with some pretty strong gusts. I used to rush out and frantically close the umbrella, worried it would take flight. Now? I can actually relax and watch the rain from under the covered patio, knowing the umbrella isn't going anywhere! This base holds it down like a champ. This umbrella base is absolutely perfect for under the table use as the flat weighted base slides easily under the table (with a bit of effort as it is 40 lbs) but once in place it does not interfere with people's feet that are seated near it. The multisleeve inserts that come with the base works perfectly with almost all standard umbrellas and the screw in tighteners hold the umbrella pole securely supporing our 11 foot umbrella, highly recommended!

I ordered this umbrella base after my old one kept falling over. We used it with a double umbrella on a windy day and it did great. This thing is really heavy - you might need help moving it around, but that's the point. Once it's in place, it doesn't budge. The flat design slides under tables easily, and the rubber pads on the bottom keep it from scratching my deck. The best part is how it fits different umbrella sizes. It comes with adapters that work with most poles, and the knobs lock everything in place tight. No more chasing after my umbrella when a gust comes through! It's simple to put together and built solid. If you're tired of flimsy stands that tip over, this heavy base solves that problem.

Let me start off by saying this umbrella stand is HEAVY in a good way. I had to use a dolly to get it from the front door to outside on my deck. Easy to assemble, only 2 screws.(I had help only because of how heavy it is). I like the adapters for the different size umbrella poles. I removed 1 adapter & my umbrella fits perfectly. This stand is definitely not moving. I needed a heavy duty umbrella stand for my deck. I live in a development where our decks are connected. I made the mistake last year of buying a cheap stand that didn’t end in great results. This stand is extremely well made & worth every penny.

I really like this base. It is a simple, modern design that goes well with my house. Assembly was extremely easy and it took only 5 minutes. It is very heavy which is good since my area has high winds a lot of the time so the heavy weight will hold the umbrella down. It did have a small chip in the paint upon arrival but I didn't remove any stars from the review for that since it can happen to any similar product.
