  • Helped with hearing.
The best thing about these is you don’t need to use a phone to use them just turn them on and start hearing. My wife lost hearing in one ear and traditional ear buds didn’t work but these bone conduction hearing have actually helped her hear better. Wish we had tried them sooner great product.

  • I took a chance on these, and I’m glad I did.
UPDATE: Well, I’m having to downgrade my review from five stars to two because the headphones stopped working after a week. Fortunately, Amazon refunded the price. Too bad, because these would have worked for me. This is my sixth effort to aid my hearing. I’ve tried $2,000+ in-ear-canal hearing aids (unbearably itchy and impossible to wear) and just about every earbud-style OTC there is. My ears are very small and weirdly angled, and nothing fits. I have congenital cookie bite hearing loss. I knew from wearing inexpensive regular bone conduction headphones (which I would recommend you try first to ensure bone conduction will lead to an improvement in your hearing) and I knew I could hear things I haven’t heard my entire life when wearing them. But my partner complains I can’t hear for X, so I knew I needed to keep searching for a solution. After testing these for 24 hours, I can tell you that the smart switching between amplifying room sounds (including conversation) and piping in sound from an Android smartphone (e.g., music, podcasts, etc.) absolutely works. I turned off the notifications sound entirely because they trigger the switch, which takes a few seconds to happen, and that’s infuriating. I hate getting all those notifications anyway because they are not conducive to peace and quiet. I have a smart watch paired with my phone that vibrates when I get phone calls and that’s all I need. In another version of headphones like these (which I don’t think had smart-switching), reviewers said the headphones have an echo. These don’t have what I would call an echo; rather, your own voice is amplified back to you just like other ambient sounds, and it does take some getting used to. My partner gave me the feedback that, before I started wearing these, I talked too loudly but that, now, I have a tendency not to talk loudly enough. I told him to just keep giving me feedback until I get a feel for the best way to talk so he can comfortably listen to me. If you have ever worn hearing aids before, you know that there is a period where you have to acclimate to the difference in how things sound. The instructions for these say to start with the amplified sound at its lowest level, and there is a helpful voice that will tell you when you’ve reached “minimum.” This level is gracious plenty amplification for me because I think my problem is more that I hear most things just fine except for speech because that falls in the frequency range of my hearing loss. I think what is happening now with these headphones is the amplifier picks up the voice frequencies I normally have trouble with and sends them back through to my cheekbones, allowing me to hear them normally. But it also means I will have to get used to hearing the frequencies outside my loss range being amplified more than I am used to. I really appreciate that only the amplification is controlled by the +/- buttons on the headphones. It would be terrible if I could not separately control my music volume. Too, you have access to equalizer presets and settings on a phone that you do not have with these headphones. In the reviews of those hearing headphones similar to these (these do not yet have any reviews as I’m writing this now), those who complained about not being able to control the music volume with the headphone buttons obviously are not elderly folks who like to keep things simple. Finally, the fit of these hearing headphones: I’d give the fit and pressure of the temple pieces a ten. I have a small head and they grasp and hold themselves in place without me noticing them much at all. I don’t like how the wraparound head piece fits as much because it sticks out a good ways past my head. This is fine if I’m upright and nothing is pushing against the headphones, but I cannot lie back on a pillow without it pushing the headphones off my temples. There was a little strap thing that was included with the headphones to supposedly be able to adjust the fit, but I haven’t been able to figure out how to get it onto the headphones. They do need to be charged once a day if you’re wearing them all the time, so keep your charging station by your bed so you can plug them into the charger when you take them off at night. I’m giving these headphones five stars because they are working well for me. YMMV depending on your type of hearing loss and the size of your head. ... show more

  • Helped me hear clearer.
Never had tried these so I gave it a try. I can’t use a regular hearing aid in one ear so I was hopeful. It did help but I still had to use my right sided hearing aid. I did return them because they are not for severe hearing loss. I had no problems with the return. I want to make it clear that they did help me hear clearer. It was nice but not sufficient for my level of hearing loss. Do try them. ... show more

  • Bad hearing aids
I have ringing in my ears. I also have hearing loss. When I saw the reviews، I was like yup this is what I need. I purchased it and waited over a month to get them. When I got them I was excited. I put them on and I was very disappointed. They have a hollow sound to them and didn't really improve my hearing. This is not what I expected at all, I was so upset. ... show more

  • Not as much volume as I’d like but otherwise a good product.
The jury is still out. I bought these to supplement my RIC hearing aids. They seem to be a small improvement. I wish it had more volume. The headband is too large, I can’t rest my head on the back of a chair or my car seat without disturbing the earphones. But they arrived early, were very well packaged with clear instructions. Easy to charge and pair with my bluetooth devices. I use another pair of bone conducting earphones when taking guided tours in which the tour guide uses a transmitter to speak to the tour group. That set of earphones seems to have more volume. ... show more
